The crew starts to fall apart when difficult guests make demands for dinner. They are displeased that raw fish is on the menu, so Chef Ryan McKeown gets defensive and thinks Aesha Scott needs to handle these guests more appropriately. (Season 1 Episode 5).
Synopsis: Set against the stunning backdrop of the tropical Whitsunday Islands and world-famous Great Barrier Reef in northeastern Australia, the Peacock Original series Below Deck Down Under explores the complex, often explosive dynamics of the crew and a rotating group of demanding charter guests on M/Y Thalassa.

This chef needs to realize she’s chief steward. She’s above him in rank he needs to learn how to respect her.
isn't it better that you know that's not what they want to eat, rather than the guests receiving it, sending it back and you having to start it all over? I don't really understand what's so wrong
Ryan needs to go! He ain’t in Philly, he needs to cater to the guests not what he wants, he is not paying for it
"first rule is not to talk to the guests about what they're having for dinner" man this guy should've been banned from cooking just from that alone
Don’t tell the guests what’s for dinner???
Some of these yacht charters cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per week. If a person wants scrambled eggs, then make them eggs for crying out loud. Some of these egos are incredible.
This is the first chef who has no clue what lane he is in . He consistently is put in a defensive position and also of catching up when all he has to do is WAKE UP , look around and know where he is working , look to enjoy making food for the charter guests ….. the food is literally the main focus of these yachting experiences! It also puts more work on the rest of the crew with his awful attitude. This chef has no business being on a boat !
I wonder what the charter guests think when they watch this and see him calling them c**ts?
That Chef is arrogant
The paying customer should be able to choose what they want. That chef is immature. Get Ben Robinson on that yacht! ❤️❤️❤️
He literally was the worst chef to ever be on any of the below deck’s definition of throwing his toys out of the pram
i never saw anyone so fed up with a chef that they ordered scrambled eggs. ryan has to go. he has no idea how to be a chef. he cooks like it is his house and you will get what he is serving.
This man has NO PASSION when he cooks. Its like he hates his job.
I can’t wait for him to be fired this season.
I've never understood why they do pre prep like send out a menu of the dishes for the evening or give a choice to everyone is happy in advance
This is the worst chef on below deck. All the rest of them, actually, make food that the guests enjoy. And all stews tell the guests what they're having. And the other chefs come up and speak with the guests. He didn't even want to, until the captain told him to.
Man, he seems really immature..he needs to be a chef somewhere else
I also hope Chef Ryan reads all these comments, we can all grow by seeing ourselves through another facet.
He would be fired so quick if this was my boat.
Cured fish is not cooked! Is CURED , for it to be COOKED a form of heat has to be involved in the process . It is safe to eat but is not the same
