The drummer was in another band called Advent. Not really the same but still worth a listen 👌

I used to listen to these guys back in the early 2000's, and I forgot about them. For years I've been trying to remember the words in any of their songs I'd heard, or the band's name, but I forgot them... Until today! I ran across them by accident and now I'm so friggin happy.

Bands like this are sorely missed. There is a severe lack of integrity in music these days. R.I.P. Beloved.

Since the first time I have heard this band, to this very moment, I have not been able to find a band that gets me, that moves me, that engages me as much as they do. And I have heard a lot, genres ranging from between the buried and me, fleet foxes, amorphis, loch lomond, allan holdsworth, chance the rapper, etc. The simplicity interspersed with minute highlights and unexpected notes still gets me more than anything that has been done.

I hear that! They had such an amazing mix of heavy riffs/breakdowns and melody and clean vocals. They fit in with the "hardcore" community at the time but still made an impact with people who like the softer side.... I don't really think I could tell someone of a band like this.....Underoath MAYBE lol and I'm a huge UO fan but these guys were in a class all of their own.

This and lower definition are always bands i go back to over and over again. Check lower definition especially the album with the ocean the beast on it . Shits too good .

I would pay $150 a ticket to see a couple songs by this band.....Man, So ahead of their time and so heavy in the Beloved kinda way.....So missed!

One of my all time favs! 15 years later still a weekly listen.

2024 and still listening. I was lucky to see these guys live a couple times back in 2003 - 2005 when I was 15 / 16 years old. I love this band.

It took me hearing people rave about their performance at Furnace Fest this year to get me to listen to their music. I'm late to the game, but their music rules.

I'd do anything to see Beloved live. I have been listening to them since I was 6 years old, I'm 22 now & sorely miss these times. I was always too young to go to shows back when they were killing it, heres to a potential reunion some day.

For real man, when I first heard that moment at like 12 or 13, I jumped up out my computer chair n accidentally moshed the dial up modem unplugged hahaa.Got sent the mp3 over AIM randomly before the album released cause a friend's band was signing to solid state. Good ol times. Also you got dope tastes bro, I jus saved ur ruben slikk n based god playlists so I can be lazy n put off makin my own for a minute hahaaaa. peace mane

When I was a kid I went to a hot topic to get the used cd this was way back in the day and the guy working there was super cool to talk too all the time .I told him I wanted the used cd and he said do you know about beloved there album came out today . I said naah never heard of them . I bought beloved instead of the used and never turned back .this whole album goes hard .

I remember seeing them do Death to Traitors live and Andrew Neufeld of cbk/figure four came out to do the screaming parts.

my favorite song by my favorite band.

Beloved rules. Amazing album. Convince them to go on tour.

Fun fact! This whole album was recorded in one take in studio. All songs one after another, no mixing.

Plus another thing and You may or may not know this already but Tooth and Nail Records along with the Legendary Solid State Records are awesome labels to find this type of Harder but Melodic music, Solid State is one of my top favorite Metal/Hardcore & Rock Record labels I have really come to be a fan of and support over the decade or so outside of the other secular record labels that I listen to also. Several years ago Solid State records came out with a Volume 1 Heaviest Hitters album with most of my favorite bands on it along with new ones, when You got time should check them out, can't go wrong with them. One other thing I should mention before I go is if You have not already check out a band called Demon Hunter, they're Melodic, Heavy, Riffy, dark but amazing music I have most of their albums. I have a massive list of bands I could list right now but thats for another day I will send them to You if You'd like.
