Both of my grandparents were born in Belmonte. I have found my grandfather's birth home there on the mT top over looking the water. I will return for the 3rd time this Fall. Excellent story of the Beautiful Mountain, Belmonte......makes me wish I could stay longer but live in America. Thank you Massimo

rgo006 daughter : what are your grandparents' names? I was born in Belmonte. I hail from the Bruno family on my mother's side and Pellegrino on my father's side.

rgo006 : I am really interested to know who your parents are. The Bruno name was véry well known. My ancestors had the general store alla Via Nuova by il Calvario.

​@aldapellegrino6712 my husband's family in Belmonte were the Bruno's...Giacchino born in 1927 there. His mom was Filippa Provenzano.

My local guide, Marco, is taking us back to Belmont. Has any more been done as you show in your video ? Was that restaurant you ate in Belmonte down by the square ?

@@MassimoCastelli Li vedrò presto, vedo che sei stato in Sila. Io sono originario di Spezzano della Sila, conosco molto bene quei posti. Oggi poi ho visitato Belmonte Calabro, davvero un bel borgo, peccato per i numerosi palazzi che andrebbero un pò ripresi per dare vita al centro storico. Sarebbe fantastico.
