In this video I explain why you don't want to place these 2 buildings and how the others are useless. If I sound like I'm complaining about Bellwright it's just me trying to save you guys a serious headache! So stay tuned for more Bellwright gameplay tips and help videos!

I built the first couple things for the first couple towns, but since I learned how to cheese the renown from towns to where I'm Bellwright in every town even though I'm still bottlenecked on missions. But to cheese the renown I started by just building tons of the statue things around the towns because they only cost 15 stone to make and give 75 renown, and then I moved on to making lots of village garden things because you get 300 renown each, or trust. So there is no need to build almost all of the village shit, ever. All the villages look like they are built inside of stonehenge, but looks kind of cool too. All you have to do is become friends with the town so you can learn the village statues and go to town, most of the stones you can pick up around the villages themselves, but have your people gather stones and make several. NOTE* make sure you have the mats to build or your people in your village will start grabbing supplies and bringing them, and then dropping them when you build it.

As far as top priority fixes, I'd say storage management is at the top of the list. First, village trading and deliveries arrive at the storage closest to the place they came from. It makes organizing and planning storage in conjunction with crafting buildings impossible, as nothing is ever where it is supposed to be. And the labor requirement to move all that crap every day is horrid. Second, there is this new problem where a copy of each delivery is being sent to EVERY SINGLE available storage unit in the destination settlement. It can be disastrous until you realize it's happening. Oh, and villagers aren't smart enough to use Sturdy Pickaxe instead of Simple Pickaxe at iron nodes. Aside from that, I love this game.

I was gonna say I think the vault could make sense to have them bring resources there preemptively before building houses range or tower. Thus way resources are readily avalible and the towns folk can take over taking resources to individual locations than the granary I'd say set up like daily deliveries for direct renoun/gold return like selling food to the town and both should be set to only be used when instructed or on rotation (like deliveries) I still hate cooking with npcs they default smoke all shrooms and meat when they have all the resources to make fine soup they also over stock furnaces and cauldrons with wood. I find myself doing all the cooking and smelting myself. Also hate the tool/weapon management they drop them all the time and the weapons racks can't be customized I'd like to have a broken weapon tool rack by the tool shack. Weapons only weapon rack by the rally point. And tools near places that need them Also noticed metal deposits can be exhausted and have mined most the copper in the game so repairing tools is gonna be impossible soon. Unless they make a major change to resources for repairs or the iron, copper, tin deposits to some how regenerate. Would also like to see deliveries to from choice. As i have built 3 settlements instead of outposts. First is great for food but not much else so I'm traveling alot just to deliver food cook and smelt take up 50% of my time. Returning to combat reclamation parties = about 10-15% of my time and the rest I get exploration/questing.

i found when the matts needed were right on the door step it worked allot better, make barn near bottom of stair to the smelter then ask it to fill with 10-20 of each item required for the building to function. hope this helps

I made a cooking outpost within my main town. That way you can keep all the cooked meat seperate and get them eating veg you plant in the farms. The people in the meat outpost eat the meat but they cook so much it doesn't matter. You could do the same thing with honey I guess just have the peeps taking care of the honey eat that and save the most of it for when you go fight. I gather my army, order them to interact with a stockpile them just eat 1 and take one for later. I just have smoked meat in said stockpile so they only take smoked meat, you could have 2 different meats in the same stockpile but they will only take the lowest. i.e. If you have small smoked meat and smoked meat the would only take the small.

I find the cooking cauldron glitchy anyway. Have a really hardtime getting my workers to do it, even with dedicated cooks. Smoke rack, camp fire...all that is fine. Cauldron they dont touch.

yeah i gave up trying to make the good food. i just setup hunting outposts and ship meat in, then let them cook/burn it. the HP buff is better than a lot of the other food anyways

Did you have a village well built? that might affect it. did you make them an outpost? maybe the idea is to create a defensive outpost inside the town for defence of it? Also you don't wear armour to increase your speed, if you have dedicated workers, dont deck them out in armor that will nerf their walking speed. You need more people on delivery, the cooks dont deliver food, same with smelting, you need delivers to do stuff.

i have wells but not the village wells. i have several outposts but not inside a town, i'll try to see if i can build in there. and that's a good idea with the armor speed with the vills

Its too big of a single task to top up that much food. You need to "tier it". 1st task - top up to 15, 2nd top up to 30, 3rd to 50 etc. Would be great if we could copy "orders" between stations.

if they split up to different food storages like when we tell them to harvest berries or mushrooms that would work a lot better

Yeah that village granary is a shit show. I had the exact thing happen the other day... couldn't figure out why all my iron and cotton cloth were disappearing and nothing was getting crafted or cooked... come to find out I have 13,000 units of assorted stuff that my villagers delivered to it, halfway across the map. Idiotic
