Bells concert in Seveso for the closing of the traditional Saint Peter's Fair

The sanctuary of Seveso was built in the 17th century near one of the rivers of the vast plain, which rises in the mountains from Switzerland. The church replaced the original one from 1252, in the middle of the woods where the martyr Saint Peter was brutally murdered, in whose honour one of the best patronal festivals in northern Italy is held on the first Sunday in May. The high bell tower was built by the architect of the cathedral, who envisaged two twin towers. The remaining belfry has five recent bells, cast in 1961 in the musical scale of E major.

The five bells are played exclusively by bellringers, still having the traditional keyboard as on the piano and the strings, which reach down to the ground floor behind the sacristy. When no one can ring the bells, there is a computer that makes them move. During the afternoon of the fair, four friends and I played the traditional bell concert, the last signal that closed three days of the fair with tens of thousands of people.
Pietro Rosini was born in 1206 in Verona, the city from which he left at the age of 15 to study. In Bologna he met Saint Dominic, who welcomed him into the order of preaching friars. When he was appointed inquisitor of Milan, he began to be hated by heretics, to such an extent that four nobles paid a hitman to have him killed. On 6 April 1252, the assassin Carino, who later converted and became blessed, ambushed Peter and another friar, breaking their skulls with a large sharp scythe. An important monastery was built in memory of the saint, while his body was carried in solemn procession to the capital to be buried in one of the main churches, where the skull now lies in a silver and gold reliquary. The convent was suppressed by the French, who after the defeat at Waterloo gave it to the diocese, which turned it into a seminary for more than a hundred years.

Che melodia "complessa" quella iniziale! E' fattibile a corda (non so come si definiscono quelle manuali)? Se si con quante persone? La scala a chiocciola che porta sul campanile è a dir poco affascinante! Bel montaggio e belle riprese!

la melodia iniziale è una classica suonata a tastiera, la trovi nel video precedente ed è esattamente una suonata come se fosse su un pianoforte o uno strumento con tastiera; la parte del concerto invece è suonata a campane in movimento buona giornata e grazie per il supporto!!
