I’ve never been an Oropesa fan. She used to sound very constricted and nasal, but boy!!!!! This is a world of difference 🎉 the sound, the phrasing, the colors, chest voice, breath control, TEXT!!!!! Just simply beautiful, probably the only singer nowadays that can sing Bel Canto

She has a wonderful technique, a little bit like Ms. Sutherland even. Brava❤

There is so much about her phrasing, her legato, and her seamless, non-aspirated coloratura, and her general approach to this repertoire that remind me of Callas.

She is always amazing. My only criticism is that this piece is not in her fach. Her voice is a light lyric (if that) and this piece is for a dramatic coloratura soprano, which has a richer more metallic ring to the sound.

Definitely not a light lyric. Just a lyric coloratura. I personally have heard the difference in sound and her voice is too big to be ‘light’ lyric.

Fanstastic, but not Divina. Getting lazy with the downward chromatics at the end. Fatigue shouldn't be an issue. Work on technique, especially now as the voice matures. Or move into lyric/full-lyric repertoire. The e-flat also didn't sound as secure as it should. But, still, God, she's a miracle. I'm really nitpicking. And, yes, this is live.

very very close to divine..............her breath,her phrasing,her authenticit, and her amazing repertoire and her ability to work from a calm place ...........my fear is that shedoesn't give her voice time to recover between engaggements

Exactly! I wish, these days, operatic singers could still board some leisurely boat cruise to their next gig. And not fly. Or take a train. We're losing touch with old practices in many respects. That is understandable, but how do you keep old performance art going in a modern world? These days, singers don't have time to collect themselves! That's why you have Villazons' burning themselves out before their time! @@stephencostan207

It's amazing that she gets so much work but I worry about both her and Nadine Sierra overworking themselves and not having enough time to keep the voice healthy between gigs. It would be awful if what happened to Anna Moffo happened to these two wonderful ladies who I admire and enjoy so much.

If you cant sing a pice by hart and have to store in front of you. Dont sing

Cant stand these slim sopranos with there Metallica timbre.
