Bell X-1 Mach Buster 1/48 Eduard

So, I've prepared a new playlist for you called '24h Le Glues,' slightly inspired by the legendary car race. When I've been working on a complex model for a long time, I need to take a break with something simpler. The basis is a high-quality and easily buildable model kit. It also helps to set a completion deadline. I've set mine for a maximum of 24 hours of work on the model, including painting…
The first model for this category is the Bell X-1 MachBuster in 1/48 scale from the Eduard company. Although the kit is almost a quarter of a century old, it's still good; It does have few parts, and in the new edition, it's supplemented with a few useful accessories. So, let's get into it!

I like how you showed a poor fit, adjusted it, and then showed the results. Its such a key skill that no one ever seems to show unless a fit is atrocious. Impressive build. I saw Yeager at Oshkosh one year. He had his P51 there is a row with about 10 others. I'll never forget it. The guy was in his 70s, and still flying a P51. They don't make heroes like they used to.

I found very interesting the part of the building when you repair the mistake on the wing. Maybe more interesting then the rest because I learn a lot in this cases and personally I found the very mastery of your abilities 😮

I can only really speak for myself, but time management is a major issue for me when it comes to completing builds. This video is a great example of how decisive planning, and visualizing a deadline, can help some people utilize the time they might have to the fullest. I also really like how you illustrate here with your late repair on the wings how nothing aside from melting (but there may be a remedy for this someplace I have yet to hear about) is a dealbreaker on a build. Often, once my skills and knowledge catch up to my ambitions, I revisit old incomplete builds I might have abandoned due to a mistake or something I assumed was a permanent situation. Looking forward to more of these in the future.

I missed the broomstick. (Legend has it that Yeager had hurt his shoulder prior to the mach bustin' flight. He kept it a secret, as he desperately wanted to do this flight. The injury made it difficult for him to reach over and open the latch of the hatch. So he cut a piece of broomstick and took it with him in the cockpit to facilitate that...)
