Bell & James - Livin' It Up (Friday Night) (1979)
An ALMOST "Forgotten Oldie Of The 1970's", and a GREAT one! THIS one, is by the duo of Leroy Bell, and Casey James. A #15 Pop hit from 1979.

No worries. I'm a stroke survivor with a heart problem, hypertension and only one functioning kidney. Two blown knees and osteoporosis and I use a rolling walker to get around. I'm blessed and try and enjoy the people and experiences I encounter on a daily basis. I also remind myself that there are a lot of people worse off than I am. I will be 60 this year by the Grace of God. I didn't mean to offend. I wish you many more moves in the future.🤗
No matter what mood you are in before you play this song, you will be in a better mood afterward.

Still my Anthem 2-23-24 Friday Night
This was our Friday anthem in the 70s and early 80s. Good times!🎉
This is THE JAM!!!!❤ NEVER gets old! Dancing Forever!!!!!
I'm a child of the 70's and this song has stayed in my head since before I turned 10...I never knew it was two Caucasian brothers that did this jawn....that makes me appreciate it all the more. That was a different time; blue-eyed Soul music back then came from a genuine love and respect for the music. Bell & James (with this song). Hall & Oates, etc...they respected and appreciated the artform and did it justice.
oh yeah i heard it back in 1979 and i am still livin' it up at age 63.

Curious. Do you not miss the times, pre-Obama, when white and black people were not forced to hate each other? Do you remember a time that heterosexuals weren't phobic for not being attracted to any type of gays, but yet we were fine with the existence of gay people. In my day they called "trans women" she-males, because that's what they are. I have no problem with these people. Do whatever. I don't care. Just don't expect me to approve or validate your psychosis.

Overseas in Germany, could not wait till Friday nights!!! What a time
Back when people lived for the weekend. We had tough times the same as today. But there was much more work - life balance. And people weren't focused on gangsterisim and violence, the focus was FUN..... And had an ocean of it. If there are no fun times in your life memories, what was your life really about.. Peace & Love to every generation, especially mine. Not that many of us left that remember the way we were🌴
