As a little boy, just 7 years old I was traveling with my family to our only vacation place, not even marked in many maps, in Western Pomerania, Poland. Sometime then I heard a beautiful song on a radio, a melody that was to become the most important throughout my life. For over 20 years I haven't heard it, but it lived in my memory as a tiny piece of a refrain. I kept searching for it on the Internet ever since, without success. It became almost a legend, and I wasn't sure if it ever existed; not having been a mix-up in a child's mind out of few other favorite songs. Once I even have heard it in my dream, keeping the dream of finding it alive. And now, being on vacation in the very same place since 25 years, it suddenly appeared on a radio I was listening to at the beach. I was breathless. Before I grabbed my phone to find the title through an app, that unfortunately just started configurating then, it was over. I tried to catch a few words, but was only able to understand such a prosaic ones, that they immediately got beyond remembering. I ran to check the radio's playlist on the Internet, but to my horror, it was finishing at a previous song and showing next one only. I sent to the radio station a message, but was so desperate that I checked all Polish radios' playlists, without success. Then I remember I had heard some adds in a different language, definitely Scandinavian. I searched most of Danish radio playlists, then Swedish, then finally German just to make sure. Logically I checked everything possible, as an Internet melody finder showed no results as well. But finally a Polish Radio Złote Przeboje (Golden Hits) that I had suspected at first, finaly answered. And here at last, on the shores of the Sea, my life is truly fulfilled, as the longest awaited dream comes true!!!!! Bell, Book and Candle "Rescue Me"

Hi Marcus! I have been looking for this song for the last 10 years and I couldn´t find it anywhere. Two days ago I asked my brother if he could recognize it and he said that he had never heard a song like that before. This song has been haunting me for so long that also I thought that it was a ghost of my imagination. Finally, I remembered one line (don´t ever let me go) and I googled all the Cranberries songs with out no success. At last yesterday google gave me a hit and when I saw the title I knew that I had found it. It was like a dream come true. Like finding a lost treasure or a mythological creature. I couldn´t stop playing it and spent the wole night listening to it before sleep took over. So amazing that you had a simillar experience just a couple of days days before me.

I have the same story with an song from the early 90', is a rap-type of song, the artist seems like Eminem, think is a white guy, I remember the chorus, sounds like "I feel like the best, put all them to rest" or something like that. Along with the weird lyrics, there was the video in which he plays basketball with a kid and he dunks the ball in front of him and taunts him all the time. I have been already searching all type of reminiscences, lyrics, descriptions, but doesn't appears. Always crancked me up the weird stuff around that song, but never find it again. Maybe someday

...bei dem Song bin ich direkt im Sommer 1998..21 Jahre jung..unterwegs zum Baggersee oder ins Schwimmbad, in meinem kleinen weißen Auto, ohne Klima, aber mit offenen Fenstern und lautstark "Rescue me" mitbrüllend👍👍schöne Jugenderinnerung❤❤

Richtig super Erinnerungen an die 90 Jahre!

Damals - war gerade 17 - fand das so gut! Jung und wahrlich erstaunt von der puren Lebendigkeit des Lebens... Heute - 42 - immer noch ein großartiger Song! Man muss sich das Staunen bewahren! Let your, let your amazement grow...

Eben die Akkorde auf der Gitarre gespielt und dann gemerkt das ich das irgendwo her kenne. Wie die Zeit einfach vergeht..das war noch Musik!

Absolutely awesome song, knew it as child and sang along without knowing the lyrics, heard it on radio and remembered!

I really love this song, it’s so catchy and makes me feel good. I listened to it several times then I finally paid attention to the video……..just a little boy playing with a toy not realizing there is a real person inside and she will be hurt because he doesn’t realize what he’s doing. This hits differently when I’ve been through a relationship with a man child who had no idea the pain he was causing because he was just “playing”.

Saw them giving a concert in Mühlhausen on 18 May 2018. At 30 ft distance, looking at the front woman, I thought: that girl can't be the original singer (who must be at least 40 years old, given that "Rescue Me" was released in 1997). From her looks, voice and generally youthful appearance, I estimated her to be at most 25. Only when she mentioned having an adult son, I realized that I must have been wrong. They finally played "Rescue Me" (definitely live), it sounded almost exactly like this video, recorded 21 years ago. Really amazing.

I remember this song from the late 1990"s when i lived in Germany! A Music reunion, when finding a song from 25 + years ago...

Still listen to this song in 2023/11/09 ❤ almost 2024 and it will still remain in my playlist .

"Letty-er amazement grow!" -I realize how it's supposed to be spelled and what she means but i'll always hear it this way. It does not distract from the beauty of the song. I love it!

Soy español de Sevilla, pero me encanta la música que hacia este grupo y concretamente esta Canción Rescue me, es maravillosa. Yo esta canción la escuchaba de pequeño antes de ir a la sierra Cercedilla en Madrid ,en el LADA antiguo de mi padre con apenas 6 años ahora tengo 36 años y todavía con el LADA de mi padre lo llevo yo llendo a la sierra con mi recuerdo de esta canción ya que el coche no tiene radio

Das Lied gehört zu den giganten der POP-Music. Es ist immer wieder schön es zu hören. Video dazu sagt auch sehr viel, daß man es besser verstehen kann.
