Это был наш "гимн", когда мы уходили на прогулку или собирались встретится с друзьями, всегда врубали её на дорожку, на полную громкость! Энергетика изумительная! When it was real

Listening to her is listening to an angelic voice! Can hit a multitude of notes and only the greats could! She's the reason the Go Go's ever existed and the reason they are in the Hall Of Fame! As a solo artist she had classics you'll sing with her when you play her greatest hits with this one probably her biggest! Add to that fact how beautiful a woman she was/is and overcoming her personal demons to be a voice of positivity what more could you ask from an artist to show you her greatness by not only being successful in a band and as a solo artist but did it while battling her demons and then overcoming them! If that isn't an inspiration for anyone in life I don't know what is! God Bless Belinda! Thanks for all of your great music over the last 44 years!

I remember 1987 like yesterday. You also had the Bee Gees, Erasure, The Joshua Tree, The Equaliser with Edward Woodward, Highlander had just come out the year or two before, as had Top Gun, Freddie was still rocking, cider was £1 a pint and driving lessons were £6 and hour!I was 19 with no money worries. Now just a few years of 60, enjoy it while it lasts...

Anyone listening in 1896? (All music is always timeless as all things are. Fashion is a completely contrived invention of the Middle Ages adopted by consumer culture to sell you pants and shoes and cars more often than you actually need them and only exists if you believe and indulge it.) (I always played records, cassette tapes, *AND* CDs and still do and always will and I've had the same hair cut and clothing style since I was a child and it never "goes out of style." I just get construed in a different context depending on what decade we are in and who I'm standing in front of.) Also, it's not nostalgia, it's designed to elicit that emotion as it made you feel that way when it was new and you were "nostalgic" for it the second it started to fade, remember? For me that was 1986 when the new wave died down. The 80s were a time of listful reflection and intentional overt romanticism. So was a lot of idie rock and goth from the late eighties and early ninties. That "felt nostalgic" the second it was released because it absolutely self consciously reveled in it and used every trick in the book to pull at your heart strings...Jesus christ, that Dinosaur Jr. comp with the troll on it was like a full admission of guilt. It's nostalgia when you remember your past, not when kids born this week also "fell nostalgic" as some sentimental crooner plays minor scales and sings about romance and passion and mundane thumbnail sketches of tragic figures you feel sorry for etc... Elanor Rigby is an example of the same trick but probably has zero relationship to any Americans from the 70s, 80s, and onwards but it uses the complete template. The brisk pace keeps the sad song from being sad so you just "feel" and there is a mystery and longing for something you can't put your finger on because it's not fucking their, the artist manipulated your big grey heart while you weren't looking. "Nostalgia for an age yet to come" sounded "nostalgic" when it was released, like all the Buzzcocks songs. It's not that hard, artists still do it all the time. You might not like the bands because they aren't made for you but it is there nonetheless. The mesmerizing silent cataclysm, motionless motion like a wild wide eyed screaming face on the mute comic book page, it's a bunch of cheap tricks that work. I could name a million examples. It's the tempo in relationship to the key and scale and mode, the chord progression, the general tension and dynamics and tone, the sense of drama and the apparent attitude of the singer...everything _but_ the date. "Call me" when it's a booty rap song or a commercial for exlax making you feel that way. Then it's nostalgia, Virginia. They used to pull your heart strings but corporate focus groups decided grossing the public out and pissing them off was easier but just as effective. Plus, they already got your ass, the honeymoon ended around 1997, you didn't notice that sudden change? People fooled actually believe it came from them following public trends. No, that's when they began to dictate trends. It's way worse than politics, politics just tries to use it as an angle like everything under and over the sun.

But in 1987 I rediscover her in that memorable videoclip of "Heaven is a Place on Earth" and I fell in love with her forever!! ❤ She was, is and will be my crush ' till my last minute on this dimension. She is the hottest female singer of all times!!
