Shafiq and Farhan celebrate their 13th birthdays with their families. Both boys were born on the same day but come from different socio-economic backgrounds. Whe Shafiq falls ill and diagnosed with a failing liver due to Wilson’s disease, his parents offer to donate their liver. To their shock, they find out that Shafiq is not their biological son. He has been switched with a different baby at birth!
BELAH HATI is about the story of Shafiq and Farhan, two 12 year old boys who were switched at birth. The switch is only discovered when Shafiq needs a liver transplant. His parents, Said and Ida want to donate their liver but medical tests revealed that Shafiq is not their biological son. Desperate to save their only son whom they have loved deeply, they track down Shafiq’s biological parents, Manaf and Nur, and meet their own biological son, Farhan.
