Beinn a' Ghlo

This walk around the Beinn a' Ghlo munros are our first for 2021. With the travel restrictions being lifted we travelled the short distance to Blair Atholl for a clockwise loop around the three munros from the car parking at Loch Moraig. Our last munro was in Nov 2020 so it was interesting to see where our fitness was following the long winter.
A great day out with terrific weather conditions.

Hi Robert, It's great being out on the higher tops again as this winter was far too long. Many thanks for taking a look. Cheers, Charlie.

Gorgeous weather Charlie! I love the name of the second Munro, it's an absolute mouthful haha 😄 It's good to see the Munros again. I bet you were relieved to be back up there 😀 Thanks for sharing!

Kris, That second munro has to be the longest name of them all and a beauty to try and actually pronounce. We had a great day and now looking for another venue mid week in this settled spell of weather. Take care, Charlie.

Hi Pamie, You might be luck and the weather may change before then. You can decide the route direction on the day to have the wind at your back if possible. Have a get day. Cheers, Charlie

Good to see you on the bigger hills Charlie, must’ve been an early start again to get them to yourselves. Lovely views all round. I’ll be heading for the bigger hills this week coming. Cheers Frank.

Hi Frank, What a difference getting back to the higher tops, just superb. The hills were a lot busier when we closed the loop with a chain of walkers making their way to Carn Liath.... always better to be early. Have a good trip through the week as the weather is looking settled. Cheers, Charlie.

Superb video as always Charlie. Great to see you back out and thanks for all your work filming and posting. Have been eyeing these three for a while but put off by a seemingly long day from where I am, 6 hours would make it achievable - has the new path taken some time off do you reckon? Guidebooks have indicated 8hrs plus when I’ve been looking previously.

Hi Paul, The guidebooks generally give generous timings but the height and distance doesn't change. The path certainly helps with the access as this used to be heather and boggy ground to get back onto the track. Just got to be lucky with your weather day and I'n sure you'll enjoy the round. Take care, Charlie.

Hi James, Many thanks for watching. It's great being on the bigger tops especially with the weather as it was. Fingers crossed we'll have another trip through the week a venture a bit further north. Take care, Charlie.
