HOW TO FIND A GOOD PLACE TO SIT IN THE WOODS TO WATCH NATURE.THIS TRICK OF USING A HAMMOCK AS A QUIET BLIND WORKS WELL.A SMALL POCKET HAMMOCK WEIGHS VERY LITTLE AND IS EASY TO CARRY .IT WILL BE SET UP QUICKLY TO PROVIDE A GOOD PLACE TO SIT AND WATCH FOR DEER SIGNS.BEING SNEAKY.SO AS TO NOT GATHER A LOT OF ATTENTION FOR OTHER PEOPLE OR ANIMALS IS THE NAME OF THIS GAME. IN THE DEEP WOODS OF THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE UNITED STATES ,ITS OFTEN HARD TO FIND A GOOD PLACE FOR A HUNTING BLIND..A NYLON MESS HAMMOCK WILL SET UP VERY QUICKLY AND QUIETLY.

It's amazing what will just wander by if you're still and quiet (sometimes nothing!). Here's something that may or may not be of interest. I used to stop and brew up in the woods as Brits are likely to do with an alcohol stove so not much odour or large flames, every time I brewed up green tea a deer showed up, this went on for months. It wasn't in the same spot or the same deer everytime though it was usually in the morning. Might be just a coincidence, might not be. So if you're having no luck before you give up, brew up some green tea, see what happens.

Blackie, this set-up would work super for us in Northern Minnesota. Thanks. The ranges up here are also very short - all you need is a Northwest Trade Gun & you've got plenty of reach.
Excellent video 👍👍 I agree with you totally on where to find a great spot. Iblole walking the creeks and find worn out places really being used alot and set up down wind or pick a spot on either side to be able to beat the wind depending on which direction. Hopefully the creek crossing will have a lick branch close or a series of scrapes as well and dinner is covered 👌

That helps me figure out things a little. I've been thinking bout buying a bigger tent so I can put a small heater in it. I REALLY DON'T LIKE BEING COLD. Lol. & I want to go camping in the winter or other times of the year. Like ur chair looks comfortable. Thank you for your help

I AM A GEAR NUT!!..LOL actually i have 5 hammocks at this time..2 tents and a bunch of tarps..i grab which ever one fits the time of yr weather and location i think i will be staying in

JMO opinion but wouldnt u be better off with a ground tarp & creating a blind ? Think your mobility is limited with that type set up, in addition to that it will be difficult to keep rifle steady when aiming due to being suspended off ground...no direspect meant... best luck...

I have had deodorant and mosquito spray on while squirrel hunting. Just sitting bye a tree. Plenty of deer and hogs walk up and never see me. Oh and wearing blue jeans, black shirt, and Hunter orange. No special wash.
