I think this might be my first KZread comment ever, but after (also) seing 'The Truth' video, I felt compelled to comment and just choose your most recent video to increase the chance of you reading it. I found your channel today and have ended up binge watching your videos for hours. I am a 30's middleclass Danish academic/artist who have never been close to doing time, so I am likely not the core audience here. I just wanted to tell you, that even though american prison life is pretty far from my reality, I love your channel for several reason. As a European political science major I find the american prison system interesting in a somewhat disturbing way, and getting info from someone else than MSNBC is extremely interesting and valuable. But I'm not binging your videos because I have a fettish for "hard time". I'm doing it because you come across as obviously intelligent, genuine and heartfelt, and because you have great charisma that makes the videos entertaining. I sincerely value the perspectives of anyone who has learned hard lessons and thought intelligently about it. Your videos are both very entertaining and informative (don't stop getting close to the cam), and your thoughts on your struggles are very inspiring for me to deal with my own battles with addiction, depression and loss. Thank you for that. Don't stop, man. Respect from Denmark.

Is there a way that we can come to the courthouse for his hearings? Not to protest or anything, but to stand in solidarity. I think it might helps his situation if they see just how many people support what this guy is doing because some people deserve to be locked up and some don't and I personally think that Dave is one of those people that do not deserve to be locked up. Especially because of how he's TRYING to change his life around and we actually see that and we can see how this guy just seems to get the shit end of the stick and is a product of our judicial system. I would love to show up in support of Dave. Just to be there.

Being on the run is the worst feeling in the world fr ppl are going to change and dog you out especially if you use to have money and the police take everything you own,you wouldn't believe it until you go through it

Joe- take a small moment to realize all this good shit that going on for Dave, this APS Army... It so easily never would have happened without this channel and all your work. I know shit gets hard for you; the temptations, all the work, your job, etc. This great thing is your doing. You are DOING what you wanted to do with this. You're a fucking hero. When I did something good in my life, something special for someone else- my friend would say "Your father sees you." My Dad died when I was 18- and that thought brings home what doing good really means. Joe- your father sees you! Thanks for all of it.

I went on the run for a year. They finally sent to US marshals to get me. And after all that the judge gave me 60 days with no paper sense I was able to stay out of trouble that whole time

I have a warrant out for me right now for felony possession of heroin. It's been over three years now. I have a totally different life now. I was busted in Chicago but live there states away. There's no way I could keep going back to court and if I would have stayed there I would have continued to do heroin. My local police no about the warrant and they don't mess with me over it. I was even in jail over some parking tickets here and they told me I had a felony warrant in Chicago but said Chicago didn't even return their phone call. I'm not looking back. If they get me they get me.

my best friend walked for a month and half while being CO 2nd most wanted. He stayed two weeks at my apartment. Had to watch him turn himself in for a 16 year stretch.

I see you and Dave like friends, hearing that Dave was going back made me cry. So proud of bim for turning yourself in Dave. it sucks that it needed to be done to begin with. I felt like I was in jail when I was in hospital for 8 months, not allowed out.

its awesome that yall stuck together. i did time im baker county and i havent spoken or chilled with anyone i met from there. sure there were promises but nothing like how you and Dave are and i 100% admire that... i also admire your channel. the stories which some might find funny and of course you add the entertainment value for how you tell it but you tell it like it is... you dont sugar coat it and when my nephews come of age there are certain videos i want them to watch that you posted. Going on the run caught me more serious charges

This story reminds me of the time I was walking with my buddies to the house and we were high as hell fooling around and I accidentally scuffed this dudes car. I think it was with my backpack. I took a quick glance and it was maybe 2-3f long and the owner was right there on the porch and he yelled after me and the next thing I knew I was running like usain bolt and then I look over me and my 100% innocent buddy was running right beside me while the 3rd dude was just walking chilling. The owner completely ignored him. Got in his car and chased me and my other friend who showed me the shortcuts through the neighborhood. We ran for several hours. Our calves got ached and knotted up and started falling to the ground in pain. We split up and took separate routes back to the house where I saw my 3rd friend who had marijuana on him talking to the cops and my heart sank and no matter how much my legs ached I turned around and ran away to a family members house maybe 2 miles away. After I got there I called up the both of them. The one who was running with me was never caught. The 3rd guy who was talking to the cops covered my back and gave a false name and he told me don't comeback to the house to stay put where I am because they said what I did is a felony. And they have a search party for me. A couple hours later I left the state and I was home safe home and no one else found out as of now over here I'm 100% in the clear. When I go back to my buddies I feel fairly safe from the cops since they missed my name and face. I just wouldn't return to that neighborhood

People were not trolling the jail, they were supporting Dave. Since the jail is merely performing their function the better target would be the appropriate prosecution authority that is dealing with Dave's case. It would seem the Internets are behind Dave and, while they are no-one's private army, they are willing to do their bit for Dave in this instance. If the Internets are aimed appropriately it would be a very unwise authority not to take notice.

Recently had a Warrant for a Probation Violation - was "on the run" for ~7 months, got tired of the feeling of looking over my shoulder all the time, went turned myself in and posted bond. Court in 3 days, already went to my initial hearing and plead not guilty...I'll take about any deal they offer as long as it's not jail time, done with that shit. Kind of a shitty situation, only had 2 months left on probation out of the 2 years they gave me.

You wouldn't have heard of people on the run who eluded authorities, unless you're a close friend. Because they're in hiding. I heard the story of a guy who jumped bail and was in hiding for almost 30 years.

why are people like this? why would you harass the prison and just give dave more problems? i mean like yeah sure there was support and all but still...

I turned myself in before. It sucks, HOWEVER, I packed a suitcase, had McDonalds before I went in, ate a couple 80s of OC and made my way to the Ritz Carelton (my jail cell) and settled in for the evening. I woke up round 5:30 AM, had to finger print again, ate another 80, went to court for bail hearing, ate another 80 then made it out on bail. Wasn't so bad. I was pretty lucky for making bail within 36 hours. I wasn't so lucky my second time around... That time caught me 9 months, then my conviction and senence began. Turning yourself in sucks BUT it has to be done to make the system take the SMALLEST bit of mercy on you. Im pretty sure Dave will be out rather quickly. He won't be in there until September, hes going to be in there until he is able to figure out and prove he was in detox, and with a letter from his P.O. stating he said he would be in Detox, he will be out fast enough. Still sucks, the worse part about being in Daves situation is the fact that NOTHING is for sure. He is LITERALLY IN LIMBO. He's got no solid answers. Its way better having a date of release. When you know when yoiu're getting out, even if its 5 years away you still have that in your head getting you through. When you're looking at time and have no idea of what's going to happen, you're going to trip out in your head, exacerbates the situation 10x.

I've had a warrant out since 2012. all over a citation I couldn't afford to pay. I can afford to pay it now, but I'm scared to go pay it because I've heard of people being arrested anyway. n even though the judge cleared them n lifted the warrants, I can't afford to even spend 1 day locked up or I lose my job which is my livelihood. it sucks man Ive gotten way too used to avoiding law enforcement by any means. I can't wait until the day I don't go into a panic attack when a cop gets behind me in the road.

What happened

They couldn't catch me because I was a long distance runner/marathoner and I ran over 7miles straight into fields and woods and lived out there for almost a week getting help from friends but I couldn't take living like that and turned myself in.
