Thank you so much Asian Boss for sharing my story as gay Muslim and HIV+ in my country Indonesia. I hope through this video most people would more understand about this issue and we could care each other.

As an Indonesian, I can't say enough how brave he is to come out like this. People here still heavily stigmatize those who are gay and/or have HIV, and i admire the strength he has to be public about his illness and sexuality. I wish him good luck and good health so that he can achieve whatever he wants to achieve!

My older brother was HIV positive. He was gay too. I kinda hoped he would find someone like you because he always felt alone and disowned by my parents, until the day he passed away since he refused medications. But the reason is more of all the judgements. I am straight, but I respect humanity, whether gay, lesbian, trans, whatever. Congrats to Acep Gates, and hopefully this can help people to think and perceive things in a broader way. I'm also from Indonesia, so I understand everything you point out.

There's no standardized sex-ed in Indonesia. I got mine from a biology teacher who thought this is a serious topic which should be discussed. Kudo to him.

As a gay living in China I can somehow relate to that. Being HIV+ is no longer a serious problem physically, but judgments from peers, potential employers, even family members can be overwhelming in a relatively conservative society. I guess Asia is generally like that.

As a fellow Indonesian I have no problem in hanging out with gays or HIV+ or anything.. as long as you can respect my space, and will also respect your space. People have conditions and circumstances that beyond their control. God teaches us to love and respect others, and so I did as such.
