    There was literally nothing new about Zoom. It was built by ex-Cisco Webex engineers. I was a Project Manager for Webex 6 years before this interview. The ONE thing they did better that Cisco missed the boat on was making it easier for the general public instead of focusing on enterprise level businesses. And that was largely borne out of the pandemic.

    The problem is, most of us don't know what we should do as an entrepreneur and that's why we continue with school until something strikes us. The sooner we get a brilliant idea, the better and then we can hire those robots the colleges manufacture.

    The educational system in America is a laughingstock if you really think about it. All those years of schooling & what does it get you generally speaking. Most graduates' jobs is streamline into the fast food sector which let's be honest, a trained monkey could do. It encourages repetition, not creativity. Einstein said it himself: 'creativity is more important than wisdom'

    I love this Gary, and the interview is great. Where does the comparison come when it's phone Vs TV? I get the idea of channels and people tuning in, but they are used in very different ways. TV is used to view 'content' only, there is very limited interaction, certainly if you are looking at it historically. Phones are used for many more purposes, but the user can be much more selective. How did you get people to choose your channel?

  • @youtubecontentconsumergod

    @youtubecontentconsumergod

    7 жыл бұрын

    Well, although you can look at the diversity of activity on a phone as a negative, actually, it is a great thing. You can more directly pinpoint your audience, so the people that actually are choosing your channel (on a phone) are the ones who are actually going to be affected by your media. That way, you weed out the people who your message is not meant for. Sometimes, quality of audience is better than quantity of audience.

    Don't ever leave out people over the age of 40, a smart entrepreneur will bring them in.. bring in the people in the 40s bring in the people in their 50s bringing the people in their 60s and so on ...don't exclude them sway them move them to social media and also to get "more current in general"....it's so important. so much of what Gary is saying is what I've been thinking and saying for years, tiny example I gave up television years and years ago and so has most every single person that I know all age groups

    I was literally just crying because i felt like I shouldn’t share my stories because yes in the micro level, they’re all negative and I didn’t want to be called negative nelly again. And I actually don’t really SEE them as negative but I’m sure society would say, I’m not reel worthy. But this made me feel a lot better. Like a LOT better. He’s said so many things that I’ve doubted and to see him so confident regardless of the truths really moves me.

I'm a designer for 16 years, and I love it, but because of Gary, I managed to start my own business, which I'm very proud of, and where I can exercise my design expertise in a complete different way. Now I love to sleep few, work a lot, and keep the day moving like there is no stop. I'm a new Monday Lover.

    “School failed me. Schools failing entrepreneurs every single day. It’s not built for entrepreneurship. It’s built for workers. You are being taught to play within the lines.” Well said! This is exactly why I failed out of high school and missed my graduation . From 7th grade up until 12th, I was daydreaming or staring out the window in my classroom. I was bored, uninspired, aloof. I had no ability to focus on the material being taught. Not because I was slow or stupid... I wasn't being stimulated. The things that I excelled at weren't being taught. But the teachers had no idea because they never communicated with me. They never took the time to really understand what I was going through.

    Hey Gary, I think the secret answer to talking about AWARENESS is talking about one's passion and accepting the fact. My favorite line for that is " I am alright with that" I want to help CEOs become thought leaders in their niche, it might take a while to create my brand but " I am alright with that" Why, because my passion, my calling, my awareness has brought me here. I am happy because I love what I do.
