You can clearly see the guy was turned off once the girl said that. In fact, I believe that Europeans and really any other race like Middle Easterners, South Asians, and Africans, should shower more often than East Asian because East Asian have the ABCC11 gene, which disables their body from secreting lipids that get turned into body odor. That's why most East Asian men and women don't ever wear deodorant, whereas, if a German, Arab, Indian, or Nigerian goes 3 days without washing, he or she will start stinking real bad.

Where did she get the idea about German men washing once a week from? Everyone I know takes a shower in the morning as part of their daily routine and additional times if required (e.g. after sport). Brushing teeth at least two times a day is the norm. Towards makeup: yeah men don't use makeup and don't dress up to show off, it is seen as unmanly. However the same is true for German women with most going with a minimalistic approach towards makeup and not dressing up to show off for everyday life. It just makes you appear pretentious and low class here. (Don't get me wrong, we like to dress nice and neatly, but not showoffy or extravagant. Practicality always comes first place (though not to the USA degree of people leaving the house in their pajamas or sports wear)

I think it tends to be different with different age groups. Normally men don't use makeup, but younger men tend to use a lot more skin care, years ago it was very rare. Sometimes they take too many showers, before training, after training, before meeting friends 😂

Similarities of korea and Germany. I’m a korean living in Barvaria so just my impressions: Both can be brutally honest (Germans more so), eat more pork and less beef compared to US, more judgmental, rule based society, lots of honor system like in Germany it’s possible to ride the train without a ticket. In Korea, typically don’t steal I lost items, drink a lot of beer, environmental policies, manufacture cars, electronics, weaponry, watch a lot of Hollywood movies and like American music, separated in half because of Cold War, strong emphasis on education. Differences between Korea and Germany: Germany is further left politically, Germans work less, Germany has a less material/consumer almost minimalist purchasing habit, Germans are more organized and on time, Germany has more immigrants

"...honor system like in Germany it’s possible to ride the train without a ticket" - In my 33 years of being german and living in Germany, I have never heard of that. You cant ride a train without a ticket. If someone comes to check and you dont have one, you pay a penalty.

Not everyone takes a shower in the morning but before they go to bed...not everyone as time and nerve for that in the morning. I take a bath everyday instead of showering even. I wanna be completely imeresed in water. I dont got to bed dirty.

There is no person seen as sane in Germany, who only showers one a week! This is a stupid old stereotype from the post war era, where everything was in ruins. I take a bath every day and showering doenst even feel as cleansing to me.

The woman's statements are quite funny. We shower at least every day, several times in summer. Of course, we wash in the morning and evening and brush our teeth at least twice a day, usually more often (in the morning after getting up and always after eating). We change our underwear once or twice a day, depending on the heat. We don't wear make-up (with the exception of some K-pop fans or special groups...like goths or punks), it's unmanly. "White horses" seem to come more from young, pubescent men. Such sexist expressions are also used by our young people or in simple milieus. I hold doors open for women, carry heavy things, give honest compliments - why not? There are also women who don't want that ... but the majority like it. Somehow her statements don't really relate to Germany. There are idiots and scumbags everywhere, but that seems to have been the case more often with her. The question is where and how she grew up.

She speaks English with a Russian accent ... she may have brushed shoulders with the local culture at some level so she may think she's an expert in German culture. Her references can apply to any individual of anywhere but they are not tipically German. She comes across as a phony little thing to me ..

i think she should practice her English pronunciation - it sounds too much like the German pronunciation 😂 It's ugly that some people go for that "white horse" things because that sounds like a fetish and it's disgusting. You should like a person for their personality. I'm from Germany, too - and I agree with some things said and also disagree: - love has deeper meaning for us, you don't just say it, it has a meaning of wanting to be together long term and not change your feelings daily -in Germany it depends on the couple how much you text but a little throughout the day and daily - eeehm i don't agree about the teet brushing - most people brush their teeth, twice a day because that's the dentists recommendation - if someone only brushes their teeth once a day or less, it's their personal choice but you can't say everyone is like that - It's true that guys don't care that much about skincare but the usual normal hygienic guy showers once a day at least or twice if they do sports. I never had a bf that showers only every few days - I would've run for the hills 😅
