Thanx Dave! Excellent video series. Enjoyed them very much. I will probably add a 3rd Extender to my setup. It has become 2nd nature to my workflow. Logic is seamless and works the best. Reaper works well and Harrison is decent as well.

I bought the Audient iD44 MKII, for the ability to have 4 mic pres and expand via optical. However, one feature I wasn’t sure I was going to use much is having the scroll wheel be the encoder. As you mention, most things you use in a DAW is adjusting plugins, so I found it really quick for me to adapt, where I set the volume then set the wheel to encoder mode, and I have one hand on the encoder, one hand on the mouse. I move my mouse to what I want to adjust, end move the encoder. No need to map anything, just hover on top of the control on the screen and adjust with the encoder wheel. It was a nice addition I thought I was not going to use much, but I’ve found it very useful.

I love mine, especially for the price. Also, despite not looking the slickest, if it’s sat next to a rack mounted quantum 2626 it matches perfectly lol. Try it with yours! Haha. Great video as always

I do have to say that even though I'm a Presonus Sphere user I do think that the Faderport looks more like a toy compared to the XTouch, having used professional desks for many years the XTouch just looks more like a serious piece of kit plus it has all the extra function buttons. An interesting choice may have to be made. 🤔

Love your control surface reviews! Just got a look at the new ICon V1-M. I'm sure you could buy a car with how much it cost but it looks great! Also the P1-M addresses some readability issues as well.

I did screw them together and took a black panel strip between the unit so it looks like one big unit 👌🏼

I understand ur opinion on avid....but I use there avid dock & s1 on cubase & nuendo and it's amazing for plugin control & opening and closing plugins but it's only for daws with eucon compatible

You might want to review the Nektar Panorama P1 Control Surface. It's smaller and not motorized, but from what i can see, it does have tighter integration with most daws and might be worth reviewing just for that. Their keyboard controllers are the same. I have a P1 on the way and i think it's going to be perfect for my needs and desk.
