Combining it with the Solina ... a match made in heaven.
The preamp on the unit is wonderful
I wish the behringer implemented that spring tank in the model 15 like Moog did for the grandmother synth
Glad to see a new video from you. Seems like it's been awhile. This video inspired me to look up the current value of my old Furman RV-1, which I bought for $15 back in 1987. Wow, it amazes me what people will pay for stuff! Spring 'verbs are probably one of those things you'll never really get an accurate digital emulation of.
Spring reverbs have to be hardware. Because if you can't whack it, what use is it?
I think it sounds great on all of the synths that you used. It does not mean only use that reverb, but when you want that sound, then it’s killer.
Your channel is on my top 10 ! 😊 Thanks for all 🙏🏻
I want to hear the final jam in its entirety!
fantastic as always!
Dub sound with the memoryman was lovely. Nice tight bass from that guy. The solina also seems well matched.
behringer gear keeps getting better and better
Prima, wunderbar, a great presentation of whatever the number ends up on this! ;) I have one of these on order and will be using it for dub-style music and everything else! Great music as always to try these units on, perfect!
My old X705 Elka organ has R4 Hammond spring reverberation and I always use it. My other réverbération unit is a SRV2000 for m'y home studio.

@@winesynths your a lucky man, he's a fine musician and you two make magic together.
Die DUB Sounds mit den verschiedenen Effekten und der Bassgitarre hören sich einfach nur genial an. Könnte da ewig zuhören. Das habt ihr echt super hinbekommen.👍👍😉

For the size they should've made its a stereo/duo mono spring reverb.

@@patkelly8309 not double....maybe 1/3.
I like it for its simplicity wish is why it pairs well with the Solina. I might just get one someday.
I used mine on the Solina first as well. I found that going past 2-3 setting was never needed with all that polyphony. Its better on mono synths and single drum elements, and guitar of course. It sounded excellent on the korg monologue, and the CAT.
I use a Surfybear Metal to provide reverb for my Moog Grandmother and Yamaha CX-10. I tend to play a single keyboard over a sparse drum beat, so I enjoy the space the reverb takes up.
A great objective video as always. Very tempted by this - love the lofi quality of springs. I had a JHS Spring Reverb (that's John Hornby Skewes, not the modern pedal company) in my guitar rack. They go for silly money now. I rented a Great British Spring Reverb in the early 80s and have been chasing that sound ever since.
Let's NOT forgett The usage of springreverb in Dub, Reggae, still to this very day,....=) Springreverb is here to stay, as Analouge Delays,... =)
Personally I would have just liked you to run a snare through it
Nice review 👍 I appreciate their quirkiness but I'd rather have a Merlit 😊
Such a big device for an effect box, I get it though. If I had the space I would

Yeah! Could easily be half of the size!

Looks like the standard Behringer enclosure used for many of their desktop synths. Part of keeping costs down - just re-use something off the shelf you've already designed and manufactured.
@winesynths
Ай бұрын
of course. they know how to keep manufacturing costs low. And taking this into consideration it‘s well made and solidly built.
Playing synths if fun. Playing. Synths with a good reverb is good like. I miss Big sky
by site of the device, i think everybody with spring reverb experience, would imply a much bigger tank to be inside ...
Is it possible to route the Beringer Spring Reverb to the Roland JX-3p?
@winesynths
Ай бұрын
yes, why not?
For the modern dance music producer working mostly ITB with a couple hardware synths, what 3 outboard FX would you call non-negotiable?

Nice question for a future video! What I really use all the time are analogue delays from my Matriarch and the Deluxe Memory Boy, then my beloved PCM70 because nothing sounds better with vintage synths. Old Yamaha fx like Spx-90/990 or REV5/7 are extremely cool on electronic drums if you are into 80ies sounds. The last thing I would suggest is an analog bus compressor à la SSL for your final mix. I use a Warm Audio Bus Comp which perfectly glues everything together. Astonishingly far better than any plugin!
Very nice .. ps do Quasimidi Raveolution 309s come up for sale often in Germany ?. ✌️ 🇦🇺 🪃

Not so often. And they start to become expensive when fully expanded.

@winesynths I thought so.. RAVOLUTION 309 , blows away my MC909 , and MC505 synth sounds away , I might have to see what I can get out of my MC's individual outputs .. ✌️ ❤️ 🇦🇺 🪃
Klingt auf jeden Fall besser als das digi spring vom arp clone

Beautiful sounding - but i wont be able to have room for it - but then again perhaps worth to pair it up in a stand with my pro-800....hmmm
@winesynths

Ahh! Good idea! It could add a nice touch to the Pro-800!
It seems that this product is not available (at the moment) from Thomann or anywhere else for that matter. Oh well, saves me some money & takes care of excessive G.A.S.
Sounds to much like a spring you stroke from the side. I prefer digital reverbs it seems.
Having thousands in gear and yet no sound treatment in your room is crazy if you ask me.

Problem is people dial in too much for the sound. Springs are best when they are used subtly.
