Behind The Walls of The Windhoek Mental Health Centre

Staff members told The Namibian that they were overwhelmed with work, experienced difficulties in receiving medication and the restriction on visiting time from family members.

Our leaders should take into consideration the issue of mental health. It's a disappointment to see patients coming from different regions just for treatment, mental health services should be made available in All regions.

I really believe that we should as a country have as many as we can or at least as possible mental health centers around the country so that people can't travel long distances to come to Windhoek and to some health Professionals I think it's important if they can volunteer where it's possible and as much as they can to help the mental health victims.

Exactly, we have unemployed graduates that can be appointed to such duty stations across the country.
