That blanket is just fine. Give him that. Tell grandma hi from NJ! I was taught by my nanny who lived in Philly, when I was 5, in 1970.
Give the granny square now. You will still have a chance of making him/her a new one later.
I love your Grandma ❤ Go with that blanket, but put the other one together and donate it.
I think that you should give your nephew the granny square blanket. The blue and white blanket.
Give him the one you have made its beautiful
The granny square blanket gets my vote. It looks so good that I am inspired to make one.
Give him the baby blanket you already made, it's nice and it looks cozy, I may make it myself, mych love ❤❤❤❤

Give him the granny square blanket, its beautiful. But don't give up on the other blanket. Come back to it when you have the time. You already put so much work into it.

Ohhhh nooo 😱 that’s just so sad about the blanket. But I think if u have the time to go ahead with the granny style but I think you should give your brother both blankets cause as a newborn they could never have too many! 😛 Good luck 👍 💜🫶💜🫶💜🫶💜
I have been there many times, the blanket you did is beautiful. Go with that one. 😊

Had to take a little break to finish up school. Glad to be back!
I love the colors in the granny square blanket and it definitely should go to the new nephew. Congratulations on winning yarn chicken! Like you, I don't really enjoy making blankets out of little squares that have to be sewn together. I am currently working on a corner to corner blanket with some Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn that I have just laying around. I have 6 skeins of it so I am just making it however big I can to use up the yarn. I'm not making it for anyone in particular, but I always seem to find someone who is having a baby. Good luck with the Master's Degree!

I’m currently doing the same. I have 7 small skeins and I’m making a C2C as big as it can go. I’ll be showing it soon.

Thank you!
I'd go with the one that is already done if I were most people. But in my world I would probably do both and then a few more. lol
You know what it could be. Well my mom watches KZread on her tv and she does not have an account but watches ur videos all the time. She is in her 60s so I think that’s could be a reason why a lot of people are not subscribed. I’m new to ur channel and loving it ❤ I’m new to crochet been doing it for 4 weeks n I adore it wish I would have known a long time ago cause I’m 43 now I wasted alot of time 😬.

Yep! We remember you!!! You’re one of our original subs!!!
Go with the granny square. Ease the stress, or you will resent having taken over the tradition, and you will hate doing it. Keep it fun!

Good advice
😮 I’ve been there and done that 😢.
I like your new baby blanket give baby one you just finished. In other words you played 🧶 chicken. I would like to see you remake a checkerboard blanket. After your video with your grandmother, I found a vintage pound puppy pattern on Etsy.

Nice!!!!
Ughhhh. My jaw dropped that you threw away the project. If there's a next time on a project you're unable to finish, take it and crochet around it and put it away. Collect all unfinished projects. Then you can Frankenstein the pieces together into a collage scrap afghan that showcases each of your pieces of art!!!!
