I can't help but feel that by the end of the Arthurian Legend's timeline, Morgan's grudge against Guinivere is vindicated. Morgan and Guinivere are good friends at the start, but Guinivere ruins a good thing that Morgan had going when she was looking for happiness outside of an arranged marriage, betraying her friend. Then, later, Guinivere does the _exact same thing_ as Morgan did - entering an extramarital relationship with Lancelot for happiness outside of her marriage, except that Guinivere and Arthur weren't arranged, meaning that Guinivere had even less of a justification to do so than Morgan. And furthermore, the person that Guinivere is cheating on is _Morgan's own sibling_ giving her even more of a reason to despise Guinivere for her hypocrisy.

Can’t wait for Galahad and Lancelot lore and their relation to a certain ancient king.

She is already my most wanted servant of 2023, really can’t wait to play through her story. :)

For me personally, having done some research, I remember finding out her earliest appearances were that of a Fae who had fallen in love with Arthur. She did try to scare/kill Guinivere but they were pretty ineffectual because Morgan le Fay wasn't so evil in the original. It honestly seems what we now know as Morgan got combined with Arthur's actual sister, Morgause combined with some later author's twisting both Morgan and Mordred into more straight up villains. (Since Mordred wasn't always a villain but more of an anti-hero)

@@anadaere6861 Nah, the Gray overall story in Case Files and Case Files part 2 (as in the sequel series) is that Morgan le Fay created an entire village to groom the perfect vessel for Artoria’s soul, and then when the time was ripe her followers would use a Noble Phantasm to separate the vessel’s soul from her body and place Artoria’s soul inside it. It truly reads and feels like an earnest attempt to bring about the legend of the return of Arthur.

Morgan Servant that we have currently is the Lostbelt Berserker. The Healer Morgan would probably be either a Caster or Ruler. I'm going with Ruler.

Honestly I don’t really watch the English translation of the JP servants voice lines, but I know Morgan calls Ritsuka her “husband” and that they will build a castle to live together, I’m interested if Morgan is legitimately interested or it’s just a side effect of her being a Berserker like Kiyohime and Raikou and she’s not actually in love with Ritsuka and merely projecting onto him in her madness

I am not saying it should or should not happen, just that when it does, just know that it's been par for the course for a long time. Also fun fact: there IS an ongoing leftist arthurian story, but centred around a girl who uses excalibur before Arthur, and Arthur is some shitty guy who does...merc work? Also in the few episodes I managed to watch, one of the knights of the round table is already dead, lovely! The writing is pretty bad, but not so bad it gets into entertainment again.

youre wrong about the reason why morgan is berserker. our PHH morgan is actually ruler. its kinda weird cuz her stories make it seem like she only acts on her own desires but apparently doesnt want the grail which is said to grant all wishes. lostbelt morgan says something like "ah its something those lowly peasants want. i dont want it. i dont even wanna see it. besides... its prolly already in artoria's hands." as to why the lostbelt morgan went berserk is heavily tied to the bullshit she had to deal with in her lostbelt. so not gonna spoil you on that. all im gonna say is that she (and sith) needs a tight hug for the ridiculous lengths she went to save her country.

I remember watching the Merlin TV special with Sam Niel, and that one had Morgan as the daughter of Igrainen Gorloe (forgive my spelling). In that one, Merlin cast a spell to make Uther look like Gorloe, and while Igraine couldn’t tell the difference, Morgan could see right through it. So right from the start, she saw this man force himself on her mother, had her father killed, strip her of her inheritance, and give it to Arthur. Yeah, I’d be pretty ticked too.

Loved the video the Arthurian Legend is really fascinating I can’t wait till you play lb6 it has one of my favorite characters, Oberon so I hope you enjoy it

Lancelot is probably the shining example of "Depending on the Writer" in literature history anyway, and since Altoria is the leading waifu of this franchise of waifu worship (her being the first love interest in Fate and the sheer glorification that comes being King Arthur in a franchise where "Glory to Mankind" is the /entire/ reason it /exists/, does not help matters), getting people to actually be objective is like getting Gilgamesh to be humble.

One of the narrative wells that Nasu and Fate likes to come back to time and time again is "Antagonist who in their youth was a well meaning hero who wanted a better future for everyone but was betrayed by the world/their ideals and thus has become a cynical reflection of who they once were" See Archer Emiya, Gilgamesh, Medea, Amakusa Tokisada. Lost Belt Morgan IMO is epitome of that character type. Betrayed again and again and again by a world and a people ungrateful for everything she's done for them, and yet rather than break she focuses her efforts. Her heart grows cold, but it's still fueled by a deep passion but tempered by a lifetime of suffering

Eyyy it's my ABSOLUTE favorite character from Arthurian legend!! Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved the villainous witch that is Morgan Le Fay! So seeing her fgo counterpart, made me SUPER happy. She is a MASSIVE target for me in 2021, not cuz she's an EX Waifu with a personality that made me fall for her or she's a game breaker who is able to compete with GODJUNA of all zerkers but because she's my favorite character in Arthurian Legend. Plus her np theme and np animation is just BREATHTAKING

5:43 I always interpreted Morgan's hate of Arthur as being annoyed then driven mad by his constant ignoring of her and making her out to be a villian and a witch. In some myths I've read, Morgan wasn't REALLY evil. She was just obsessed with pleasing her brother... for better or for worse. Thus leading to her brother misunderstanding his sister and leading to her villanous nature.

"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!" Now we have a Berseker good at math :D

Hey guys. Could you give me some tips. I just started playing the game and i'm in Camelot. I only have a Hercules level 70, a Cu Chulainn level 60, Mash level 60, Saber Nero nevel 60, Ushiwaka level 50 and Hans level 55. I don't have materials to get them more levels, so i don't know what to do. Should i try farming materials in the free quests/ Daily quests? They consume a lot of energy and i suppose that it would take a lot of time to get the right materials.

Yes farming is a necessity for the game in order to stay on top of things. It’s a bit tedious but it’s worth it. Also events are good for getting mats anytime they come around

*Spoiler* Sorry if I spoiled things earlier. I mean FGO still uses A Lostbelt servant, her proper version is supposedly a mage comparable to Merlin. So maybe a healer version with an arts based hero creation is possible. All I remembered from my own knowledge was that she was a villain and then a Fairy who even guided Arthur to Avalon (Not PHH Morgan BTW, there’s still little known about her). Also as nice as Waifu Morgan was I would have preferred the PHH/Apocrypha Morgan. Would be nice to have a proper Villain who didn’t try to be good or likable. Also would be great to have Garden Of Avalon Vortigern, but that’s totally off topic. I remember when LB6 trailer came out everyone thought the Oberon’s Shadow was Morgan because of the crown and fairy wings. Also good luck dealing with those Gah-Wain. I wouldn’t even know if that’s correct, I’ve heard different pronunciations for a lot of things like Gea Bolg’s pronunciation isn’t as simple as it seems.

Well that's surprising that none was ever mentioned that Mordred is Morgan's son. There were alot of story abt Morgan giving birth to mordred in fate, idk how did that happened or where did that info came, all I know that mordred's mother is the sister of Morgan, where Morgan aid her sister in order to seduce King Arthur. Which led to her sister giving birth to Mordred. Just got this info from my youtube's homepage so do inform me if its wrong lmao Anyways morgan is really an interesting character, would love to get her soon.

Mordred's depiction fate is somewhat odd. In some legends he has no relation to Arthur, in others he is the son of Morgause, either a sister or half sister to Arthur, and king Lot. So it's likely that Morgause and Morgan were confused at some point.

@@danylonazarov Yes, but the problem is that those 3 personalities can't coexist >An evil elemental, Morgan le Fae >A Fae of relatively high esteem, who was entrusted with Excalibur, Vivian >And Artoria's caring sister, Morgan the Human Since the Fae are notoriously opposed to giving things away, they would almost certainly not be okay with giving their most prized possession to someone who isn't fully a Fae and was only born recently. Vivian adopted Lancelot, who is roughly the same age as Morgan, so it was a child adopting another child... And somehow was capable of raising him normally despite being a non-Human around his age The main admonishment the KotR gave to Artoria because "The king understands not of human heart"... But Gareth, Gaheris, Gawain, and Agravain are literally the daughter of someone who is partly an evil Fae Etc. As previously mentioned the 3 being different personalities isn't the issue, it's the fact that if they are just different personalities NUMEROUS continuity issues are caused

@@aredjayc2858 well, idk, first of all - wehave nothing on Morgana's age in Fate. King arthur was supossed to be 54 according to myths, but Artoria is 35. About faes... wiki says "As Vivian and Morgan are different personalities of the same person, then like Vivian Morgan too is a Great Mother class fairy, a Divided Spirit of the planet's soul" so it is really hard to tell how it works. Maybe it is that fae was born in body of human "morgan"? Because i also cant figure out how that works. But remembering what Sir Kay said in his chapter of Gardens of Avalon LN, it wasnt like Morgan was all those 3 people at one time - che changed from "lady" to "warrior maiden"(Vivian?) to witch through her life. The most i can guess is that Morgan was possesed by some high level Fae because wanting more power to destroy Artoria, but that also doesnt make sense.

@@danylonazarov Artoria was (according to her bio in the original VN) conceived before Uther and Igraine got married, but Morgan is older and was born while they were Married. Except she's supposed to be older. This is a change because instead of being Artoria's half sister she's her full sister. Fae are completely distinct from humanity, that's kinda a core reason why Excalibur could work against Sefar. It's not a possession as it goes on about her "supernatural birth" Again, there's a cascade effect where continuity issues compound one upon the other.

Yeah I don’t care how good she is in game, I will not be rolling for Morgan 😅 And frankly I don’t see Morgan as waifu material, especially given the events of the Lostbelt. I’ll stick with Tamamo-Caster, Medusa, Ereshkigal, and Charlotte Corday.

Excellent video man. But if i might ask, I'm noticing a complete lack of mordred in this video. I thought morgan was his mom but you don't seem to mention that so is she not or are you saving that for mordreds video?

Mordreds mom is a similarly named sister of Arthurs name Morgause. It's possible that in Fate the names were so similar that they were crossed at some point, but historically Morgan and Morgause are different people from what I am finding, as she is also the mother of Gawain, Gareth, Agravain, etc...

@@klidge they have fused into one character in later versions of Arthutian myth, and it seems fate takes them as base, with Tristan being Knight of the Round (while he originally had his own legend), lancelot (whose role in original arthurian myth was Bediever's) and other things like that.
