Wasn't expecting much but it was pretty entertaining.

you really underestimate what these guys go through everyday for every game. Thank you referees of the NBA, for allowing the game to go smoothly and making everything here possible!

Looks like good officiating is underrated. No one thanks refs for good calls, but everyone is always complaining. No one even knows their names, except of those who made sound mistakes. Refs have to warm up, stretch, and at the end they are sitting with an ice packs. Never thought it is so intense.

KZread Commentator oh absolutely officials of all sports have to be mentally and physically prepared for everything and anything....I’m a sports official for youth sports and it’s not as easy as it looks

They should do this with the bad officials like joey crawford, tony brothers and marc davis.

This was dope. Refs really do go through a lot aswell as the players do.

NBA TV That was a really cool short vid that educates us about the officiating crew. Thanks for this vid it was very interesting and I'm glad I watched it.

Great initiative of the NBA to release such a video. I always wanted to know how their workdays would look like. Didn't expect all that iceing on the knees. Guess it's gotta be pretty intense. Well i'd expect it to be.

They've got the worst job in sports, always scrutinized and the bud of most sports jokes. Truth be told most people couldn't handle the constant pressure they face to get each call correct, not every foul will be called because they're human and are based on flaws to become better. Great video I love to see the game within the game.

I thought this was a pretty cool look into the other side of the ball. I would look forward to more videos like this!

Awesome job with this NBA.

Refs have such a difficult job. They have to make calls in a split-second based on their judgment and what they saw. If they do a bad job, they get booed by the whole arena. If they do a good job but the fans don't like it, they get booed by the whole arena. It's a tough job, and this is a great inside look at all of the work and research that goes into being a solid NBA ref. I applaud them.

This was awesome! I think nba fans like myself really need more behind the scenes on referees. They have a tough job and are miraculous at it, yet it's like they aren't there. The only time they get recognition is when a stadium is booing them!

Every player should have to watch that bit at 1:04. If I had a dollar for every time I had heard someone say "but it was right in front of you" or "but you were the furthest away" while I was refereeing, I would be a very rich man

well, since he stepped down as commissioner last year February I think, and Adam silver came, I don't feel that the 2014 playoffs or any games were rigged, eg the finals wasn't a close call at all unlike what the usually are.

David stern never intentionally rigged games... The referees did. We knew about it and just didn't do anything about it. He wasn't the one telling the referees to rig games. The referees try and be fair but some referees have a little bit of biased in them and alter games for which ever team they want to win. Even though David stern didn't start this, it's still his fault cuz he knew about it and just let it happen

Giving a refs name is like giving someone your credit card number, only because everyone hates refs.

I was at this game! During a time out, the ref was sitting on a chair reading a news paper. Bango came over and shined his shoes and put some deodorant on him. They should have shown that. It was hilarious.

Wow, quite interesting. It's funny to hear him talk about the game as if their playing in it, but I guess they basically are. They can have as much of an effect as the players sometimes. Respect to good refs; they have hard jobs where someone is always angry at them haha

I don't think refs get enough credit for their work, but refs like Crawford make them have a bad image.

Nice to see good refs instead of Joey Crawford

I officiated football and basketball for 20 years, these guys kill me they are so worried about the minor details and all the bullshit and then miss the major calls that matter, way too much analyzing just go out let the game come to you and don't grab it by the throat. its simple. old officials like Strom and Mendelson knew this.
