This warehouse tour walk through is phenomenal. Amazing to see how Chris has turned around his business and has made this style of reselling into a successful money making machine! His team are doing a great job too, interact, sell and package the items as you go, all in an alternating fashion, a well thought out method, the whole setup runs well !! Very interesting, thanks for sharing that.
I love Chris' approach of do and work out if it's fair or not later on. So often we just need to do, even just once, to assess for real. So many resellers want to collaborate but are too afraid to do unless they are absolute SURE. They end up not collaborating at all and not growing. Also this dude's beard is the missing piece to my mohawk set. I soOoOoo want that beard haha.

What not is basically selling cheap. Did he make $1,750 or is it 50% of that for Chris's share? That makes it about $4.50 each item or $2.25 after split! Yes volume but hardly a big money maker. Lots of overhead too. Not for me😊

Let’s go!!!!
Whatnot really appeals to the US market Mel. I'm not sure how it would go in Australia, as there would be few big hitters that would have the ready made audience. Perhaps a "hub" set up like Chris is testing could work, with a shared consignment model. "Mel's Hub".... I can see it now !
@backfromburnout

Aussies have a different vibe and I’m also not sure how it will go. I think Aussies like Matt, Judda and Mitchell & Erin will dominate when it comes. They have all the key factors it needs for a show to run well. I’m not sure how books would go selling. Maybe I’ll need to sell all the items I go squirrel buying 🤣But it’s an exciting platform and I love that you can pop up live anytime to make some quick cash or clear some space. That’s amazing.

This was one of my favorite videos. Loved the behind the scenes view. I'm confused about the shipping. Maybe the process has changed since I last did a show about a year ago. Each buyers purchases were combined and shipping was done together in one package. Seems like Chris' method would cost the buyers more in shipping if they are making more than one purchase? Thank you both for the great content.

I ship in 5lb bundles and make use of the flat rate, rather than at the end. Ends up being cheaper bc of the weight of my lots. For singles, end of the show shipping is cheaper.

Did a whatnot show Friday morning and a dude was driving while watching and bidding and it was stressing me out bad. Also he was pretty aggressive in his haggling. @@backfromburnout 100% agree! I never thought I'd ever do live selling. But been doing it for over a year. In the beginning I tried selling a little bit of everything. It was tough to source all that for a decent deal. In January I niched down to just Yugioh! Cards and I love it! I've really grown in that WN community and have repeat buyers every stream. Good way to buy stuff cheap. Profit must be low for sellers. Sorry, as a seller I dislike What not as a good reselling model. Better to do like a QVC or HSN. Where they make real money.
Can you repeat and explain more what you said about going the $1 starts. You said don’t be afraid to do them. I am afraid. I usually lose money on them.
How long before a developer will do a Australian What Not do you all think? I have been buying since July, the aussie dollar is kiling me with shipping ect. But I can get items you just cant get here, like Disney, with the personal shoppers on whatNot its so addictive, fun and so intetesting even if you don't buy at every show, you watch and learn. I think it won't be long and Ausyralia will have this too, surely?

It’s coming, I’m sure! It’s exciting for us and if you’re already watching them in the US then you will be ahead of the game! It takes great skill to be able to sell something on a live auction. Chris’s girls do an amazing job.
