The scene where Dylan O'Brien got hurt begins at 2:01 and ends at 2:06. The accident happens right at 2:04, just as a shrub passes by the camera. Movie makers often implement such an element to cause a "distraction" to hide the fact that the video is edited, so the viewers don't really see where the two different scenes merge. Our eyes get distracted by the tiny shrub that clouds our view of Dylan's character, so that we don't notice the exact moment of transition. In other words, the scene from 2:01 to 2:04 is pre-accident, while 2:04 to 2:06 is post-accident. Two different scenes blended into one.

But I don’t understand bc In the movie obviously the cars driving but irl when they’re filming how was a car actually driving like I don’t get how he got hit bc they can’t make it dangerous irl they have to make it safe

no. they reshot the whole thing, they didn't use any of the footage they had pre-accident. at first they were even shooting at a different location, so pls stop spreading false info.

@@krystallvinter7438 i’m pretty sure they said they decided to keep the SCENE and not the FOOTAGE. u can see how dylan looks a little different/older in this movie than he was prior to the accident. i’m pretty sure they reshot the whole thing. but if u are so sure, link me the interview cause i couldn’t find it.

Between Maze Runner, Divergent and Hunger Games I think Maze Runner is the best! And every time I re-watch all 3 parts I find something new in them!

This is the first ever opening scene that was so amazing in a movie...It had me triggered that i must watch the whole movie...

@@manyajames3426 when the cars flip in movies, they don't have actors in them. The scene he got injured doing was the train sequence, he was pulled under the car when he jumped. The scene they shot is still in the movie, right before it happened.

Caron yes but it wouldn’t of Last very long, they haven’t found an actual cure yet. Brenda didn’t have to have the treatment again because they used Thomas’ blood and he is the cure ( but they didn’t know yet ) but if they didn’t use his blood for when Brenda was bit then they would’ve had to keep giving her the dose which only helped for so long but then Brenda would’ve Eventually died as well

They actually changed the set, I think. During the car jump, Dylan (again, I think) was strapped to one of them, and then got hit by a stunt car and pulled under.
