I was a cameraman at in event in Natick, MA where Robert Urich had been hired to be the master of ceremony. He was cordial, funny, self-deprecating and just an over all great guy. He was terrific to work with and just a wonderful man. RIP.
When he was living in Park City, Utah in the mid-1990s, Mr. Urich acquired a well-earned reputation for generosity and genuine friendliness. On one occasion the mother of a good friend of mine, a small, timid woman, was in front of him in line at the grocery store. She shyly told him how much she enjoyed his work, particularly as Jake Spoon in "Lonesome Dove." He was kind and personable, and -- most impressively -- to the time to listen to her. He was an authentically decent man, and is missed.
Thanks for this rare behind the scenes glimpse,of a great series.
Thanks for this moment. I've been in loved whith Robert since I was a teenager. No matter He past away, He always lives in my heart. His beautiful smile gave us all the precius soul that he had. Blessings forever.
I remember this episode. It is fascinating to see how it was made. It also shows why location shooting was so expensive, which was the reason ABC used to cancel the series. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for the Look inside. Loved the show, but #WarnerBros is to shortsided to release it worldwide on DVD. Only releasing it in the US...tssss....live in Germany and still love the Series in the translated Version as well the English-Original
Love this. Would like to hear the backstory on how you can to record this.
This is great! Can you get anymore from other classic eighties shows like The Equalizer, The A Team etc?
