I can't imagine being her dad that dropped her. I pray for him that he doesn't blame himself. Raven saved so many lives!

I’m a retired nurse and this was a part of my working life. With that I want to tell u what an amazing job u did explaining this process right down to the reaction her body had to u on the most basic of levels. This is something nobody has really put into adequate words I’m my experience. Ur courage is overwhelming and if I could put my arms around u and say “ well done” I hope u would understand that as a parent u have been through the worst experience there is in the world. I am a mom of three and an ICU nurse at a level one trauma center. I so admire this mother's beautiful giving heart. Such a beautiful way to honor Raven and all the other kids who will live due to this gift. You will see her beautiful soul again. Sending you all love.

A dear friend dropped his baby son who then died from brain injury. I have often thought of both parents pain. He was their first child. I love you Tanner for sharing your story. I am bawling like a baby after watching this story.. God is so good!! What a mother.. Each one of us can ask " what am I here for" or " what is my purpose in life" and this mother just knew.. I don't know that I could be so brave or selfless.. God gives us challenges in our life, and this mother rose above and beyond!

You Tanner have shown me it takes an angel to birth an angel who then gives life and hope to many more. You and your daughter were heaven sent. God bless You and Ravens Dad

we donated my brothers organs ( he was 31) and I have always felt guilty about it silly I know but I felt like I had somehow killed him, now listening to your story I realise that we did the best thing ever not just for the recipients of his organs but for him thank you Tanner for taking the time to record this you have helped so many people my heart goes out to you and your family I know just how hard it is to lose someone you love so much you are an incredible lady and Raven is such a beautiful little girl sending love and prayers to you and your family

My deepest condolences for your family’s loss of your brother, but you should absolutely NOT feel guilty. You did what he probably wanted to do and in doing so you would have helped save so many lives. You did NOTHING wrong. You did a strong and noble thing that not everyone is capable of doing. Don’t blame yourself, you did no harm to your brother. You made him prouder. I truly hope you’ve managed to find some peace in your life.

I cried hearing Raven's Mom's sharing her experience. I have a four year old and nine month old daughters and I can't imagine losing one of them and still keeping it together. My heart goes out to Raven's Mom and her family and my thoughts and prayers are with Raven, that beautiful little angel.

I'm so sorry for your loss ..its hard cause accidents happen that is out of our control..but she is a hero ❤

All I can say is OMG Tanner you are an awsome mother. No wonder Raven was so precious and loving. She lives now through all those blessed by her precious gifts to them. The coats she gave to others was a clue to a life of giving and love. An angel to watch over you. What pain you have endured God Bless you. I love how you presented the process of donating life and the reality of it. It's the most generous gift you can give and the life receiving it couldn't ask for a greater gift. Thank you for allowing your child to donate the gift of life to others.

This story of throwing a child in the air happen to me. The only difference is , I caught her at the very last moment before her head hit the pavement. Im talking less than an inch. Though, my story doesn't end in a tragedy, I've had a hard time forgiving myself every time I think about it. I can only imagine how the father must feel even though it was an accident during a moment of pure joy. I'm sorry for your loss. Really I am. I hope new fathers understand how this can end and how quick it can change lives. I will never do anything like that again

I don't understand why anyone would throw a child in the air that high in the first place! Because there is always that chance something could happen! So,did the dad drop her! Did she have surgery or what happened after that! It's really sad either way!

I’ve followed your story since the beginning. I remember thinking even then how you were and are walking in the favor of the Lord telling your story and Raven’s story. I thought then how many people needed to see a mom be honest about the loss of a child. Listening again because the cellular story stuck home for me. That I believe never leaves us as mothers. Even now in my 50’s if they put me under like I had my wisdom teeth out, they could not get me to wake up. They got my mother and she spoke to me and I woke up. Several times now I’ve been under and we warn them. It takes my mother speaking to me to wake me up. I never understood that until hearing your story. As a mother, I know I can be as strong as you. My cousins daughter died at 30 from cystic fibrosis. But she was given a miracle of a set of lungs which was a miracle. Another miracle happened when she got pregnant with their son. I believe he was 3-4 when she passed. This beautiful boy is a gift to our entire family. Made possible by organ donation. It also gave my cousin a few more years to live, to experience pregnancy and be the selfless wonderful mother she was. Gods blessings to you and her daddy and family 🙏🙏🙏🙏💗💗💗💗

You are an incredibly courageous mom. And Raven was loved so much by everyone she touched.

I heard the story of a Dr and his wife who went to dinner party. They brought their baby with them ( 6months ) old. It was time for dinner, so they tied the Baby to the bed, and had dinner. Someone checked on him and discovered him dead, strangled with the restrains they used. When I heard about this, I couldn’t sleep, even though I didn’t know them personally. I can’t imagine what this Family is going through, it’s so hard to take in, and that poor loving Dad. My sincere condolences to all Family, stay strong as you are at this moment. O Lord I don’t know where to start. My life has changed in so many ways. I’d gone through paramedic school in 2007 and transitioned into nursing not knowing where I wanted to specialize until I saw her story. I work part time as a medic on a helicopter, but after watching her story I decided to go into organ donation as my nursing choice. My daddy was my best friend and did the same with me growing up, so I understand it. He passed in my arms a few years ago, after it was just us alone he heard my words and passed fairly quickly. I am also a mom of 3 kids who lost my 5 yr old to aml leukemia. But he was able to live to be 5 because of bone marrow donation so I just thank her family in so many ways. I lost my Dylan July 27th, 2006. The hurt doesn’t get easier over time, but the acute grief tends to subside a little bit. I got 3 more years from my son because of donation and I appreciate every parent who has made the choice to give their child to other parents waiting for the miracle that at times feels as if it will never happen. Ravens story is so beautiful and I’m so very thankful she shared her body with those meant to live on. Thank you Tanner for being such a beautiful soul and sharing your story ❤️

Poor little lass,in one second her life and the life of her family has been changed forever.At least from this great tragedy has come hope for other people.

As a mother and grandmother I loved this story but it was so sad to watch u hurt for yr daughter I have never lost a child and I can't imagine having to go through something like this I have had alot of heartache but never anything like this I'm sorry for yr daughter she is a angel but she is also a big blessing I know she is with god and u will see her again rip sweet angel yr mommy loves u so much

Wow just now seeing this I know it's been a couple years. But for her dad that threw her up in the air and didn't catch her because she went the opposite direction, the guilt he must feel. That must be the hardest thing ever.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Ive lost count of the amount of times I have had to tell my brother to never do that with his kids and I forbade my husband from ever doing that with our children. It is not worth the risk. Prayers for the families.

Maybe more people should be talking about these things and possibly preventing it from happening again. It is dangerous and should be considered as such. I won't delete this and I stand by my words. Sorry if you can't handle the truth but I shouldn't be expected to stay silent just because it hurts feelings.

I don't really understand why people do that with little kids, it's obvious that it's dangerous, I still remember being terrified for getting dropped even as a little kid and the adult just kept laughing and threw me up in the air, many kids think it's fun though. Brave and good of them to tell what happened as seems that it's important to warn others.

I know I do not know you personally, I have followed Ravens life story since the first video you did in the hospital cough and all. I was in awe of your strength and grace. You were placed in a difficult situation. Your sweet precious Raven was the answer to so many parents wanting for their child to have a life and as a last gift that she could give she did just that. I pray one day you hear from the recipients and find some of your blackbird in the eyes and the heart...she's there. What you Tanner have done is made a lot of people trust and work on that relationship with christ our savior. I am sorry I never meet her, but I know that when I do die I will be with GOD and HE will point her out to me. I will give her a big mama bear hug 1 mother to another I love and value you!!! I love seeing PW she is a living doll with one hell of a personality 😍
