Our April Fools’ prank where we swapped hosts with Jimmy Fallon and “The Tonight Show” took months of top-secretive planning, and coordinating two staffs of writers, producers and guests on opposite sides of the country. People have been asking how we managed to pull it off without anyone knowing. Jimmy Fallon flew in on Thursday, and we kept cameras rolling throughout the next two days to capture the behind the scenes from the freakiest Friday in recent talk show history.

No feuds anymore. Our modern hosts learned from the NBC sponsored Dave against Chin Leno late night debacle. BTW: most of the hosts have the same agent.....I think they call him "Babydoll" or some such and apparently he smells great.

@traceythompson1092 yep, if I remember correctly, Kimmel and one of the Strike Force Five hosts, I forgot if it was Colbert, Fallon or Meyers, have the same agent. Only Oliver was managed by someone else.
Even the rehearsals are so funny! I love how well the two Jimmy’s get along every though they’re on competing shows
To cap it off, the REAL Matt Damon should have showed up to where Jimmy Kimmel was (at Jimmy Fallon's studio) dressed as Justin Timberlake! THAT would have been HILARIOUS!!!

He's always been a laugher, I don't know what people don't understand about that. Even if you want to say some of his interview laughter is "encouragement laughter" he still genuinely laughs ALL. THE. TIME.
Love to see that both the Jimmys get along so well even as 2 of the biggest talk show hosts.
Just brilliant and I love them both... excellent examples of good sportsmanship, warmth and professionalism.

@@narvul heck no,the sky’s the limit! Did you see Colbert work out with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg? It was hilarious! Listening to the two Jimmys’ make wisecracks while they lift weights, learn to dance or give political commentary on the news etc etc would all be hilarious.
J C Kimmel arguably ended up with the (marginally) better deal; he can now list/claim the prestigious "Tonight Show" on his resumè, having legitimately hosted at least one show thereof.

That's funny - "the prestigious Tonight Show". Yes, back when it was hosted by Johnny Carson. It started going way downhill with Leno and with Fallon it became some sort of kiddie show. Jimmy Kimmel is doing fine with his own show.
I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. Amazing!

I don't usually follow Fallon, but this was so cute and fun to watch. Love that there's no feud between late-night talk show hosts. And both did a pretty good job with that switch.
