    @Richard Watson I just saw this a month later,Lol. You are very welcome Richard. Matter of fact I am going to your website right now to become a member so as I can pick up a few Landau and Luke licks that I just cannot quite grasp without the spoon fed method. Lol! Have you seen the vid here on YT of Michael Landau playing an instrumental at the Baked Potato with Abe Laboriel on bass? It's a post NAMM show I believe and the tune is called "I'm Home". Michael plays some of the most beautifully phrased lines that almost bring tears to the eyes. Look it up Brother! 😊

    Another great video.. happy new year master.. this one has truly important elements and concepts of guitar production .. congrats !! just a question.. do you used all effects in. front. of the amp ? and what cabinet did you use for this guitar parts ?

  • @RichardWatson

    @RichardWatson

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks so much, man! So effects in front of the amp were: Boss Waza DC-2, Revv Tilt and Wampler Ego. Then in my DAW: Micro Shift, Stereo Delay and Plate Reverb (these are all in parallel). I was using the Suhr Reactive Load IR as my cabinet. The specific cab was a Suhr G12M Greenback 4x12 C Hi-Gn 121+57 Celestion.

    Amazing as ever Richard. Thinking today of the sad loss of Jeff Beck, but also reflecting on the time since losing your mentor and JB aficionado Mike Casswell. You've got spades of both their personalities in your playin so please don't let that go.

    That truly means a lot - thank you. I think about Mike a lot and I'm touched that you feel I have some of him (and Jeff) in my playing. The passing of Jeff is a monumental loss , but my... what a mark he's made on the world. An inimitable giant of a guitar player! (both of them)

    I remember seeing this video a few months ago and loving that solo in the intro! Since then, I had a brief exchange over Instagram with you about the Suhr IR loadbox. Was this one of those tracks you would've used the 1.2 preset on that box for? Or rather, a cab mic'd up?

  • @RichardWatson

    Hi richard what tremolo are you using in your Tyler HSS strat?

  • @RichardWatson

    @RichardWatson

    Hey man! The term is a Gotoh 510 (but with Raw Vintage saddles). Easily the most stable trem system I've used, tuning-wise, and feels great to play!
