BEHIND THE SCENES at the UK's largest outdoor brand // DAVE SEARLE
Recently I took a trip back to the UK to visit the good people at Rab to visit the HQ and provide some feedback on some of the items I've been using this winter. During that day I filmed this rough and ready tour of the warehouse, where I also took a trip to the down filling room and service centre. Getting to stuff a sleeping bag was the highlight of the trip but it was also really interesting to find out what rab was doing to reduce its impact.

Always enjoy seeing such "behind the scenes" of industries i don't know. And great to see and hear about things like down recycling programs, changing packing patterns to reduce plastic use etc.

Oh, and feel you on the car side thing! When i went to the UK the first time for a language exchange, a taxi was organised from Heathrow to Bristol. I immediately walk to the right hand front door. The driver first looked at me weird and then was like: "If you want, you can drive..." I had to decline because i didn't have my drivers license yet...

Good to see how they are busy reducing all kinds of impact. I would like to know more about the down being a rest product from the food industry: is that all the ducks being eaten?

There is also a European website and warehouse so you can order there without import duties.
