Behind the Scenes at the Ruislip Lido Railway!

Support my projects: ko-fi.com/riku...
Autumn has arrived, and something that's been on my list for quite some time now is visiting the Ruislip Lido Railway, which is Britain's longest 12-inch gauge railway. It's very much worth a visit with two trains (diesel and locomotive) shuttling back and forth during the day and three stations. During my visit, I was given a behind-the-scenes perspective of the railway, with a cab ride and a tour of the train shed! Hope you enjoy the video :)

1:59, Hi, the red lock stops large things like horses, cars, motor cycles etc, from going past, next to the fence is a grey lock which you can lift up and cross.

I know a worker in the lido railway! His name is Matt Streeton you might’ve heard his rail announcements at London Victoria mainline! He drives the RLR as well!

Nice video, I would go here but I got a similar railway called Swanley & New Barn Railway in Kent where I volunteer that normally run 3 trains on a normal day and they are smaller than this railway at about 7¼ gauge. Normally have 2 streams & a Diesel out but can change any moment.

It's awesome how you got an experience like that, do you just ask the staff to see the trains in the shed? Edit: Did you notice a strange turn to the right when going from Woody Bay towards Haste Hill? (I think)
