When he's talking about how writing your problems on paper can help you to visualise them and sort through them, it's so true, I never realised it until recently. Think of it like having a room in your house that you've used as a dumping ground for years, anything you don't want, anything thats problematic, and anything you don't know what to do with, you just open the door and fling it in. You know you need to sort through it all and tidy it but you avoid even thinking about the task because you know it will be hard work, so instead you just don't open the door and look inside. Writing your thoughts down and being able to see them in front of you is like opening the door and being able to see exactly what is in there, and what needs to be done, and then you can start working out how to achieve it.

I was a complete failure in English and writing. I understood non of it until I took a writing 101 class in college. I had a great teacher that simply gave structure to writing essays. It all clicked and opened up a new world of writing and putting my way of thinking into words. The best part of this was at the end of Writing 102, my instructor AND another English teacher both asked for a copy of my final exam essay on the Dust Bowl. Knowing how to put thoughts to words gave us our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and United States Constitution... My question: Where are the men of those times, today? Where? Jordan Peterson reminds me the men of those times. Learned and engaged in the challenges of the times.

What an achievement not only to have a great relationship with your children but to build your careers and carve a future out side by side. Essay's been a lifesaver for me pursuing an associates. I'm not exactly someone that needs help with my English or putting down words, but what I found is that unlike when I was in school, all of my productivity gets absorbed by my full time job and my head is full of extra stuff. Essay allows me to just put down what needs to be tackled, and then the words just start flowing. Then it has excellent tools for editing and reorganizing when my thoughts got ahead of themselves.

I have always been gifted at writing, but have always had trouble organizing my thoughts in the most coherent way to communicate effectively in my thesis papers. When I’ve gone to my writing tutors in community college they would be blown away at my thesis and capacity to think but would mention my lack of organization and attention to detail. Organizing my thoughts has been no easy task for me my whole life (diagnosed adhd since 3rd grade). Thank you for your light in the world. :)

This was exactly what I needed! I remember finding Dr. Peterson's writing rubric online 'after' I graduated from university and I wished that I found that document earlier because four years of university, not one professor talked about how to write an essay. This is a great next step to the rubric because it's so hard to edit directly on the document from Microsoft Word or Apple Pages. I'm doing the 14-day trial and loved the sentence-variance section and how you thought of this part as a 'Darwinian process' of natural selection. My days at university are long gone but I'm definitely going to use this to write articles on my website blog. And it's very minimal and not intimidating like Microsoft Word.

Perfect timing! I’ve been working on a letter to Dr Peterson for almost a year and can never seem to express myself precisely. I just ordered the self authoring program and now with Essay, I believe I’ll be able to craft the letter I’ve imagined. Can’t wait to hand it to him in person at the meet & greet in February ❤️

I read Dr. Peterson's essay on writing essays. To say it improved my writing is an understatement. Usually, I dread turning in my writings because they were the same last minute flakely introspective stuff my classmates seem to get away with. I'm a junior in college and for the first time in life, I was happy with what I turned in. I can't imagine how helpful the new word possessor will be. PS. I know you're typically not one for the spot light Julian, but it great to see you getting out there!

Always, write comments down his videos, telling what a big fan I am of his work since long time. Now, I wish to invest in his personality program and this essay. Always great. Thank you Dr. JP🙏

I love that Dr Peterson is bringing this kind of attention to such a fundamentally essential - and oftentimes fundamentally overlooked - element of academia. The number of times that I've had to draft and re-draft essay proposals, let alone the essays themselves, is very nearly farcical. Whereas the vast majority of my classmates, by comparison, rush through an essay by pulling an all-nighter at the library. Sometimes the ideas are there, they're strong in fact, but the execution is flawed; I sincerely hope that people pay attention to this. Whether you agree or disagree with Dr Peterson on any number of issues, his intelligence and understanding of the necessities of academic rigor cannot be questioned. Please continue to explore, to develop, and to better this world with your sage advice and compassionate nature, Professor.

Grateful for this essay writing app from the expert himself, I am writing in bits and pieces for a very long time but still believe my writings are not presentable and even after knowing much and writing much, i still can't communicate the ideas which i write and thats where articulation is required, articulation helps in organising ideas into meaningful whole, which in turn helps in communication. I understood the value of being articulate not just in writing and communication but also its role in development of an integrated person from Dr. Peterson, thank you sir😊

It tells you right up front what it's doing to your writing and how it's helping you to organise yourself, and use it enough and you can take those principles and just do it yourself. it's very much worth anyone's time the next time you're preparing an essay.

Facebook and the bible, including my willingness to become better no matter the situation I find myself helped me a lot an still does . It drove me to write and think constructively. I buy books and would not read it till some mayhem pushes me to look at book. In summary, i found out, by experiencing suffering, I found something kindness and patience, yet, I was hungry to know more. Your work, Mr Jordan, is a life changer. My father, on advising me said this to me as a reminder to only think of what is good as it leads to life and virtue, if you steal I will surely hand you to the authorities when they come looking for you. But, if II were to steal with a pen he would do anything to save me from the hands of my captors/authorities, including going as far as fighting and landing myself in a hot mess. I absolutely agree with you, Dr JORDAN PETERSON.

I used to write and I loved it. My teachers in college said they looked forward to reading my essays. My teachers in high school kept my papers to show future students what is an excellent written paper. I saved journals from 1983 to present. And I’ve lost something. I can’t seem to be creative. Will this program help me be a writer? A dream I’ve had since a child but have been ridiculed and made fun of by everyone not in an academic circle. My journaling has been made fun of and ridiculed by those who I loved the most squashing my desire. But my sons tell me what I have to say will benefit many. They tell me I raised them with same values as professor Peterson. I’m dumbfounded. How come I didn’t learn what I taught my children? How can I teach them and just come to realizing I never learned this stuff? I’m going to try this ESSAY program and see where it leads for writing has always brought me to my knees. Stretching my mind body and soul to limits I’ve never experienced. I can say it’s the one thing I love truly love. Thank you
