Wow, I'm the first viewer! Would be a customer for this if I had not just purchased a V2. It is excellent by the way and the 10W laser in particular really exceeds expectations! The Artisan base design with recessed linear modules is smart, but you could have used the same trick the other way up for the bed - use the space between the linear modules to thicken and stiffen the bed without increasing its height.

After months of joy and stunning creations with A350 i ordered the big brother Artisan, to go on next level of woodcarvings, printings and laser creations. Thanks for impressions of manufacturing. And even improving Luban to v4.4 . Greets from germany ✌🏻😊

Many of us are wondering where is Snapmaker 2.0 roadmap and how far is dual extruder from release :P ... nice video tho.

Hmm, yeah! Where is the modularity that was preached about with the Snapmaker? As it stands, you can modify an Ender or Prusa machine more than this $1500 block of metal, and that's just from the community...

Just save your money and get a Mosaic Palette instead of waiting for SnapMaker's dual extruder, which compounds the complexity of the base machine. SnapMaker is nice but it's most gimmicky, copying others innovations and then packing them up is slightly nicer boxes for 4x the cost. My Snapmaker had a liner module and control module fail within two years of light usage, and getting replacements was a multi week process where they repeatedly pushed new products and withheld providing the parts I needed to get my machine working. After days of talking with their support I finally managed to explain I wasn't planning to pay another $1100 to replace a single $130 linear module for a machine with barely 200 use hours, and they were not happy. Meanwhile, I've rebuilt my CR-10, TAZ-5 and CR-30 a couple times for less than the cheapest upgrade package they tried to push on me for my 2.0 A350. I could have bought 4 ender 3's and upgraded them for the price they were trying to give me for the "required" upgrade just so I could use the version of parts they currently sold in their store, since the old versions are no longer available. On top of that, the machine is only more cumbersome to do any meaningful DIY upgrades to, you're mostly trapped in their ecosystem without options. For example, my CR-10 has a new heater cartridge that gave me another 100° for about $15, and that's probably a $200 SnapMaker module plus supporting module updates.... Disappointing value for the money.

Pretty nice! One question: Can the door also be turned 180° so that the handle is on the left side of the housing?

Can you please let us know if the vertical axis stepper motors are synced via cable? If not how do you account for them becoming out of step over time?
@Snapmaker
Жыл бұрын
Yes, the Z-axis is connected to the master through the cable to control the movement.
