I am 25 years old and I spend 1-2 hrs every day listening to these Ghazals and I am very unfortunate that none of my friends understand the beauty and depth of it. I feel like an old soul trapped in modern times.

Begum Akhtar Sahiba was a great Gazals singer of her time.I am 89 years old now ,and like meaningful Music. All her Ghazals are excellent, however I like her rendition of Mirza Galib Ghalib Ghazal," Ik Ashar chahiye Ah ko sar honey tak,Koon jeeta hai tere zulf Kai sar honey tak.' Rajinder Bakshi ❤❤❤❤

A lot of lot of respect to this immortal singer who will be remembered for by true music lovers

If there is a provision for awarding Dadasaheb Phalke award posthumously, then she should be nominated. She truly deserves a national recognition. I am sure there will be some survivor in her family who are preserving this immortal wealth of her ghazals. Such artistes are born once in a lifetime. 🙏🙏

They lived in an era that was pristine, unassuming, commitment to the art/music absolute, talent only mattered, simplicity was innate thing, tastes of people too sublime and purest. They now live in our memories and still enrich lives from above

Begum Akhtar sahiba ki makhmali aawaaz mein gaayi ye avismarniye ghazlein phir se sunn kar, beete dinon ki yaade.n taaza ho gayii.n ... Ye sabhi ghazalein meri bahut hi pasandeeda hain ! .... Ae mohabbat tere anjaam pe rona aaya.... lyricist is ..Shakeel Badayuni and music is by...Murli Manohar Swaroop....there is an inadvertent error in the print probably ! Wo jo hum mein, tum mein, qaraar tha...tumhe yaad ho ke na yaad ho... Mere humnafas , mere humnava ....and Ishq mein ghairat-e- jazbaat ne rone na diyaa... mujhe bahut priye hain ! Laajavaab shaayari, sangeet aur gaayaki se sushobhit in ghazalo'n ne sammohit kar diya ! Bahut shubh kaamnaaein ! ...👍👌💐🙏

سنگیت میں جان الفاظ کی پہچان۔ دراصل یہ ایک زندہ و جاوید کلام حفیظ جالندھری کے قلم کی پیداوار ہے اسوقت میں پچاس میں چل رہا ہوں جب میں بیس بائیس کا تھا تب میں نے یہ نظم سُنی تھی۔ تب دل آوارہ گھومتا تھا اب دل ایسی نظموں کی معنوئیت میں ڈوب کر ذرا سا ٹھیراو محسوس کر رہا ہے۔
