Good vid 👍 Definitely a hack job but will save someone some money. I would suggest maybe some black Shoe Goo seal and bond the cut surface to prevent any possible tearing. Cheers

For size 9 feet the stock pads fit perfect for both trainers shoes and high tops only down side is they would be a tad wider 🤙

Alien ride got a good small power pad for it. I’d rather not butcher the stock pad for when ya gonna sell it. Just personal suggestion 😅👍

Yeah, I just did it to provide a tutorial to the community. I personally don't like cutting up stock pads.

I’m thinking of buying this wheel as a wet weather work wheel. So do you think that it’s an actual substantial wheel?

Yes, i think its a great commuting wheel

doesn't look good, but probably does the job just fine. i'd consider buying a hot knife if i were thinking of doing a job like this, and practice on either a camping mattress or insulation foam first

Yeah, it's more about practicality for those that don't want to spend more money on pads.

I'd leave the original for possible sale of the wheel diwn the road. I put Clark Pads Titans on it and they work well and even give you some overlap at the top along the control board cover so you don't have to use the ugly baby bumpers
