Peachie really is out here teaching an entire college-level makeup course for FREE. The internet has changed the world forever, but there's a lot of good in it. ❤ I'm quite pale and have thin skin, faint eyelashes, and eyes that are close together and definitely "deep-set"... so I've always thought my eyes were awful and ugly. But describing eyes like mine as having "depth and dimension that others try to create" makes them sound so beautiful...

Okay to the people with down-turned eyes, you don't need to lift them! Embrace the bambi-look, embrace the gentleness, slay it like Marilyn! Nobody tells people with up-turned eyes to keep it lower. Even the makeup done in the video looked worse than the actual model, it looks like you're trying to fit into a standard that isn't yours, into an aesthetic that doesn't harmonize with your features. So you can do that and have an 'ok' make-up look (you'll never compare to the bella hadids and jennies of this world), or you can choose to slay your down-turned eyes. Excel at what you do have. I, personally, recommend soft eyeliner, long lashes in the end-corner and fewer shadows. Key is to make sure the rest of your makeup looks slightly lifted, so your features don't all seem down-turned (which indicates age). The Bambi eyes are gonna come back and it's time for us to stop trying to imitate the fox-eyes; just embrace it yours: It's beautiful!

I appreciate your comment so much. I have always struggled to love my eye shape and to know how to do my makeup. And anytime I googled it, it was always portrayed as a flaw. I know Marilyn Monroe had her "bedroom eyes", but I'm curious, when were Bambi eyes ever popular?

Imo the easiest way to find looks that compliment that shape is to look up Korean makeup looks. Eyeliner usually goes straight across or slightly downwards and it’s super cute! I have deep set eyes and eyeshadows have always been a problem for me, but soon enough i discovered the power of the well applied eyeliner and it truly made such a difference. I used to apply a slightly thick eyeliner just like everyone else does and withing a few hours I'd look so tired and bad, I started exploring asian makeup styles more and tried to use thinner eyeliner and now there's no going back. The thinner and shorter eyeliner focused on the outer corner makes a huge difference to my makeup, I am extremely happy with just eyeliner+blush+gloss as my go-to makeup

I have to disagree to the upturned eyes (my opinion-just preferences) perfect example of these are Rihanna, Yeji and I(So I know what I am talking about). Their eye makeup most the time are upturned accentuating the cat eyes. When you try to put a liner by rounding it or downwards it just puts age to the eyes. The best hack for this is to follow the outer V, Put Cat eye lashes and accentuate it.

Ty for the informative video! I wish more time was spent on the different types of double eyelids: connects to inner corner, no connection to inner corner, "hooded" double eyelids, which is when the eyeliner is hidden by a fold so you have to thicken the eyeliner to properly emphasize the eyes. I have the "hooded" double eyelids and it took me forever to figure out how to do eyeshadow properly! I use the upper-lower eyeshadow technique, make my eyeliner thick, and then use a dark eyeshadow to either further emphasize the eyeliner or concentrated at the outer corner. The result is that my eyes are better emphasized, even though my eyeliner is still largely hidden because of my eyelid anatomy. If I want "winged" eyeliner, then only puppy eyes eyeliner works for me because my eyelids are also a bit droopy at the outer corners. I hope this advice helps someone like me out there!

  • @eveandaedrul

    10 ай бұрын

Whoa! You're the first person I've ever seen who also has the hooded outer corner eye shape!!!! I also can only do puppy liner because any higher or thicker looks so wonky because of the skin fold. However I only tightline my eyes, i try to keep the liner as thin as possible, so that the tiny bit of eyelid does peek through, otherwise my eyes look tiny. I use the upsidedown triangle shape or the siren shape eyeshadow techniques, trying to use really light colors because dark ones make my eyes look really small somehow. I'll try the upper-lower shadow technique and see how that works!

Personally, as a beginner, I started doing this make up technique where I have my eyelid split into 3 parts, left, middle and right. On my right eye - left being near my nose and right being the end of my eye. First, I put dark pink on right section and don't blend it. Then, I put light pink on middle section and also don't blend it. Then, I put white on left section and slowly start blending the 3 color into each other. If I fail to blend something, I add more of the color that I feel like isn't showing up too much and blend it again until I'm satisfied. Then, I get the highlighting shadow an put it into left section and blend it with middle section. Then, I take a torture device, put the highlighter on it and smear it in a thin line right under my lower eyelashes. Sht looks amazing but when it gets into my eye it hurt af. After that I get a liquid eyeliner (I bought one and didn't know it was hard to use but after a few tries I got the hang of it) and line it up with my lower eyelashes to create a line in kinda my eye crease? Then I connect it to my upper eyelashes but don't paint it over the eyeshadows, just kinda hide it in my eyelashes. No idea how to describe it, didn''t watch any tutorials for it. It's kinda like a small filled out triangle I guess? One day, I just had to do my make-up cuz we had a ,,party'' theme at my school event and It'd be weird if I didn't have make-up and decided to just wing it. Tho back then I actually had a different eyeliner technique, I just did a small straight line. Ig it also looked fine but I prefer what I do now. I actually haven't done my eyeliner in a while so I'd better do it soon to not forget how I did it.

Great video and I'm sure many people will find it helpful. Sadly once again I could not find anything for my eye shape : partially hooded eyes (only the outer corner is hooded.) I can't use your tips for downturned eyes as I literally have no lid space for them. The search continues ...

Hi! I have the same eyeshape! I use the siren or the upsidedown triangle techniques depending on how I'm feeling that day. I also only do puppy liner, and only tightline my upper lids. However if you want higher wings, you can try short and blurred out brown liner. Go ham on curling your lashes and maskara, it makes my eyes wayyyy less downturned! Highlight brow bone, aegyosal, and inner corner with a matte white shadow. When applying shadows, be as light handed as possible. I also wouldn't recommend lining the waterline nor the lower lashline. Go give the 2 techniques a try! Follow them fully, you'll see they work super well!

Personally, I have trouble with browns making me look sickly (they're rarely cool toned enough to complement my coloring) so I tend to go with greys, taupes, or greyish lavenders for natural looks, so my grey pallette is the one that gets the most use, followed by my custom blue and purple pallete I made with the 'make your pallete' thing at a Nyx store, and my blue pallete, then my pastel custom pallette (which includes the one flesh-tone shadow I actually use,) with my green pallete seeing the least use. Since I have hooded eyes, I can get away with bright colors a bit more easily since less of it's actually visible without it looking overly intense, which is nice since I like to match my eyemakeup with my outfits. One issue I do have sometimes is that sometimes when I use a bright shimmery highlighting shade on the inner corner (which I do to try and look less sleepy) it makes my eyes look too wideset. After watching this video, I think I'll try using one of my whispier greys or taupes to do a little contouring on the upper inner corner of my eye along the brow bone and focus the shimmer a bit more towards the bottom lid and see if that helps...

Hi! What's the name/brand of your gray palette? I have the same issue w browns not being the right tone, but I've never seen a gray shade palette!

@@eveandaedrul I checked, and it looks like it was acutally a Nyx custom pallette too, so I'm not entirely sure what the exact shades are unfortunately. I've been meaning to replace it since it's getting older, and some of the colors are cracked pretty badly as a result of getting jostled around a lot, and with the best replacement I've found being the Colorpop "Blowin Smoke" - I have some other palettes from them, and the formulas work nicely, and the colors are similar to my old palette too
