To add onto another comment each Daedric Prince can take on whatever appearance they want. Also each one has their own realm. For example the Daedric Lord of the hunt and Father of the werebeasts, Hircine, has his realm The Hunting Grounds which is pretty self explanatory. Or the Daedric Lord of Bargaining and Deals, Clavicus Vile, has his The Fields of Regret. And each one has a sphere of influence and artifact (though some might have more than one). Like Nocturnal who is the patron of thieves. Her Daedric artifact is the Skeleton Key a lockpick that never breaks. And has the potential to unlock ANYTHING

Camelworks and Fudgemuppet are pretty solid and really entertaining in doling out the lore, and they've actually collaborated. Under Our Lord and Benefactor Eternal The Aedric Lord of E3 Stages, Godd "Todd" Howard, there will never be a solid "answer" to a lot of the battles and conflicts in Tamriel. His policy is to leave the conflict they're currently spotlighting with the current game in a completely open ended state so the player is not unduly influenced to pick a "canon ending". The player will just play as they want and the cards will fall were they may. Because of this there will always be times skips and room for argument with every version of the game series. Every answer is the right answer and history is written by the modders, especially the naked ones.

It’s great to see you venturing into the lore! I recommend focusing on chunks of information because of how dense it is, a video detailing the aedra and daedra, and then a different video on a specific race (like khajiit or Dunmer). It helps me knowing who the players are before diving into the history and how they interact

A lot of people think its influenced by psychedelics but in reality a lot of the weird stuff is actually based in hindu and buddhist belief with a heavy dose of gnosticism. I think that, while they do a decent job presenting it digestibly in this video, the other videos that are more focused on one part of the lore will likely be a lot more engaging. They do a fantastic job at breaking down individual aspects of the lore the most with videos about everything from the Empire to the Daedric gods or even individual videos about each individual daedric god just in case the overview video has you more curious about a specific one. One aspect of Elder Scrolls lore that is not always very present in the game unless you look for them, is that there is a lot of esoteric stuff that's INTENDED to confuse you. Different sources claiming opposite things, lots of allegorical retellings, and even cosmic fuckery that appears to retroactively change timelines. Personally, I find this very fun to delve into, like putting together a puzzle, but obviously it's not to everyone's liking. Several of ES's most important characters are also pretty complex, like Tiber Septim being both a badass warrior and great general, but very likely also a backstabbing bastard and potentially sexual predator (it's complicated), or Vivec, an awesome Loki-like trickster and mystic warrior-poet who also is absolutely brainwashing his subjects in order to make his cult of personality bigger due to sheer egomania. Some people view Lorkhan creating the world as a terrible betrayal that trapped them in the mortal realm, while others see it as a great realization of paternal love. And so on. Also there's a lot of philosophical stuff which draws a lot from Buddhism and existentialism. IF you're looking for it, lol. Oh, and one time a dude has sex with a hill and impregnated it.

They don’t talk this fast in most of their videos, don’t let that dissuade you from watching more. I would really enjoy it if you watched more Fudgemuppet Elder Scrolls Lore videos! There’s not a stone left unturned with these guys, and one of the crew, Drew, has his own Elder Scrolls channel called Drewmora.

I know very little about lore videos, but it would be cool to follow you guys through a Daedra lore video series if someone else could suggest one.

Fudgemuppet asserted that Alduin forsook his charge by ruling tyrannically. However, he needed Nords to die in battle to gain powerby consuming them in Sovenguarde. He needed to free Ulfric because he needed Talos alive to respawn Nirn. Had the dominion won the Civil War, Talos would be too weak to fulfill his purpose.

One thing he skipped over was what the Elder Scrolls actually are, and that usage of them creates Dragon Breaks: time skips, where things happened, but they didn't ACTUALLY happen, but they kinda did, and it gets confusing lol. The reason the stuff from TES5 happened is because back in the First Era when the Dragons were ruling over people, they were all banished by use of an Elder Scroll, to the far future. Guess when that far future is: 4th Era 201 :P The same thing happened with the destruction caused by the Numidium.

It’s the cutscenes for the 2005 version of Star Wars Battlefront II, and it follows a Clone in the 501st from the battle of Geonosis, to Order 66, all the way to the Rise of the Empire and the Battle of Hoth It’s set in the old canon, but it really tugs at the heart, especially just how **tired** the player character is

The best way to learn elder scrolls lore is to play the games, just listening to the lore can get really complex, especially when you get to something called "achieving Chim" (think the red pill in the matrix) and the "Godshead", very basically everything that takes place is inside the mind of a God's dream, if the God wakes up reality ends, if a character in the world realises they're part of a dream they can either vanish from reality with no one having any memory of them, or they can achieve Chim and change reality around them

You should react to the trailers of a game called Enderal. It was originally a Total Conversion Mod for Skyrim but later on, it became a Standalone game, known as Enderal: Forgotten Stories. Also, the game is free on Steam. The original Enderal requires Skyrim Legendary Edition and Enderal Special Edition does not require Skyrim

One thing not mentioned in this video is that in elderscrolls becoming a God is incredibly easy and impossibly hard at the same time like anyone can become a God it's really easy the hard part is that the final threshold for becoming a God is to realize you don't exist but exist at the same time basically is to have a huge freaking existential crisis and not lose yourself and then bam you become a God if you fail you are forgotten by the world like you don't exist and everyone forgets you ever where born in the first place

15:33 This really is a brief basic overview. Just some quick additions. The Left Handed Elves are called Sinistral Elves and they unlike every other Elf race are not descended from the Aldmer. The Sinistral Elves and the Redguard are both unnatural to Nirn(Elder Scrolls Earth) at least this iteration. They come from a past Calper Cycle(Universe) that ended, somehow they got thrown into the current cycle and the Redguard harbor extreme hatred for elves as a result of their fights with the Sinistral Elves. One popular fan theory as to why the Thalmor and Aldmeri Dominion demand the banning of Talos worship is that Talos defends man. The Aedra or Divines get their power through belief and worship so if the worship of Talos is snuffed out he would not be able to defend man from the plans of the Thalmor which the theory speculates are trying to end existence so they can return to being essentially gods. TES3 proves Talos did in fact reach godhood and that he occasionally intervenes in mortal affairs as an avatar of his aids the Nerevarine. Daedra are both depicted as demons and not, depends on the Daedra you follow or worship as some Daedra want to conquer Nirn while others just find mortals a pleasant distraction and some quite like mortals. The term Daedra literally means not our ancestors while Aedra means our ancestors it's just a designation of the original spirits whom took part in creation. Several of the Daedra such as Azura are actually depicted as mostly benevolent and Azura often fills an almost Athena like role to the heroes of Elder Scrolls(particularly in TES3 as the Nerevarine is Azura's champion).

Feels pretty big to leave out "The Night of Tears." And how the Snow Elves were 1, not all killed by the Nords, and 2, the elves started the war by genociding their largest city full of innocent civilians out of nowhere. Kinda important I think... It did start the entire elf-man conflict after all...(at least as it exists by the time of the 3rd and 4th era. The Ayleid's were killed by the humans they enslaved - But that is kind of truly mostly in the past, and not really much related to the wars between Man and Mer that happen later). Especially with countless hints, and claims in the lore about the High Elves/Altmer helping the Snow Elves in their fight against the Nords and been the main antagonists in the enslavement of the humans in High Rock. He also skipped over 2 smaller tribes of humans entirely, along with the creation of the first Vampire.

Well, the part of Alessia making a deal with Akatosh is a bit untrue, since Akatosh didn't exist at the time. He only came about later, then people started believing in mashed pantheon Alessia herself made up by joining Nordic and Elven gods.

another interesting thing about elders scrolls is the books. in the games you can find all sorts of books, everywhere.....some are about the lore, but others arent even related to the games....i've found cooking books, there's of course the lusty argonian maid(which is quite an entertaining read), and i read even a novel.....i spent like 30 minutes reading it. it didnt help me a bit in the games, but it was very entertaining.
