Another great tutorial video! Thanks for putting this out. The models Look nice. But i still prefer the ability to use pedals and flight stick like arma 3 over an xbox controller.

This was really good. I was freaking out at first and kept crashing. Thanks. BTW, 'R' stops/starts the engine.

Cool video. Any plans to do an advanced landing video? This was great for getting me flying but would love decent instructions on J-hook landings etc

Hi Scalespeeder, could you do a video about how specifically to add The Syberia Project to a Nitrado server? It's not a straightforward install. I followed the video about how to install it on a LOCAL server but it seems that process doesn't work on a Nitrado server (I tried but no go).

Me and some mates are already doinf barrelrolls and flips 😂. Fun fact it's possible to flip over a treeline then land to drop off troops on one motion

how did you open the setting when you got in the heli?

Im a little confused as to why the collective stays maxed out when flying sometimes. It is really annoying me, because often when I try to land it gains a lot of altitude because the collective stays maxed up without me even pressing down the rshift button. Any idea why this is the case in arma reforger? Is there a way to change it so that it doesnt automarically stay maxed when flying? Am I the only one who thinks this is odd or is there something Im missing?

Just starting this game on XSX cant wait to milsim but.....wtf isnt there full controller button mapping for everything??? That would fix all these issues

Ok, so there's a long way to go with the development of Reforgers gamepad controller support. The Heli controls are ok, but infantry controls need a lot of work. If you can, plug a mouse and keyboard in.

Well explained!.. but the Reforger helicopter aren't created for console shooter kids ( which know just unrealistic helicopter like the ones in Wildlands or Breakpoint). The Reforger helicopter flight dynamics/model is close to perfect for such a combat simulator (in fact, flight simulator or x-plane don't show much better flight dynamic models! ). A helicopter (contrary to an airplane!) constantly shows an "unbalanced" flight; means you as pilot have to anticipate the behaviour of the helicopter... minor flight corrections are necessary to stop the helicopter going into a difficult to master flight situation. In the video, your flight speed for the approach is too fast; therefore you get so much height over ground while trying to slow down the heli and reaching a decent height for the final. When you approach the landing point/zone you have to start far ahead to reduce speed and prepare for the landing. When you are about 1m over the ground, you have to stop horizontal and vertical movement ( for experienced pilots a slow forward movement is acceptable!); now you are in the most critical and unbalanced flight situation(!). Minor correction with the collective will reduce height over ground and the helicopter will sink to the ground; constantly controlled by the rudder (tail rotor) and the main rotor pitch... Flying a helicopter means preplanning the next two steps!

i love flying the huey in DCS, but when i fiddled around with the arma version. i find its very game assistant heavy.

"proper heli flying" lets hope you are not flying in multiplayer :D

@@stickyrice7643 its best to leave flying tutorials who actually knows how to fly, this was just an example of a guy of his first time flying. Here is a free tip, never use autohover, and never take heli with such flying skills like in this video in multiplayer game. If you want to learn to fly helis, there are pretty good tutorials if you look at arma 3 heli tutorials
