What bit/burr did you use for the lips, fingers and parts of the beard? What is it called? Where did you buy it? I am in the USA. Thanks for helping those of new to power carving learn what to use during the many parts of a creation.

Matt, thanks great video maybe I missed it, what was the size of the wood used 2"x2" or 3"x3" by 6" high?

Sorry Bob I have lost the measurements and don't have the carving now. I think it was around 2 X 2 inches 5inches tall.
Hello! I'm a beginner and I think this video will be a good first-time project for me. Is there a list of materials to buy? What size and kind of wood should I get? I have the Dremel and accessories.
@MattCarves

Hi Judith, sorry there is no list of materials, Sorry I cant remember what the size was probably around 1.8x 1.8, Height 5inches. I tend not to say what wood to buy as it depends were you are in the world. I tend to know only what is available in New Zealand. Here is another video that is easier than that one for a beginner kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnyfyY-Giqy8nMY.htmlsi=30SYuFaxy_OSfSpL Hope that helps
What were the measurements of the wood you used in this video? Also, do you remember the kind of wood it was?

I think it was around 2inc x 2inches and 5inches tall. the wood Macrocarpa I think. Cheers for watching
Is carving with the dremel strenous? I mean how much force do you need to put in with your arms? I have a chronic illness and looking for a hobby I can do at home. Always loved to work with wood :)
@MattCarves
Жыл бұрын
Its kind of hard to say, I wouldn't say its to strenuous. some new carvers do find it hard to hold the dremel for to long. I would also say it depends on what you are carving hard wood or softwood. Maybe, have a look at engraving which can be done on wood, metal or glass. Cheers Matt

@@MattCarves Thanks Matt, that helps! Do you think, it is too loud to carve in an apartment?
@MattCarves

@@paolo5797 yeah maybe. if your looking at doing engraving the dremel stylo might be quieter
it happens that they took the copy right for sculpture cost 1 dollar and they put it in sculpture cost 1 million but the first sculpture is the expensive one do you believe
