I have seen a few videos but decided I better subscribe! Thanks for your tutorials! Your art is amazing and your a great teacher! Trying to resist the urg to go jump in the car to go to Joanns for art supplies now ha 😂 Ps: love your reply to the commenter who said 'I'm out of here' for you talking? Lol love hearing about the tid bits in peoples lives! Congrats on the baby and yay for keeping your dream alive! It's easy to get lost in motherhood (I did it) so yeah keep going you have a gift! Your little paintings are so cute and good practice. I am going to follow your idea and insert the paintings in card sets with envelopes. I will give away as gifts for my friends and family. Some Christmas cards, Easter cards, birthday cards and so on. It is a very personal, relatively inexpensive, beautiful and one of a kind gift… sharing my aspirating art skills, with people I love. I could personalise the birthday paintings. For a girl, boy or adults, for their favourite sport, hobby etc …. You just inspired me in so many ways…. Thank you ❤️🇩🇰❤️🇩🇰❤️🇩🇰

Loved this tutorial. I enjoyed it a lot. Also enjoyed your chatty conversation as you painted. I guess I can clap my hands and chew gum at the same time, unlike some of the other commenters. A couple of friends and I get together for an Art Day as often as we can and I’m going to use this tutorial and the one of the single tree as our work this next time. Thank you for sharing your talent.

I love all your Tuitions Julia and I`m learning a lot from them , but I feel people learning , such as myself who are not knowledgeable enough to go straight to the " appropriate colour " for the job ,would appreciate it greatly if you named your colours as you use them rather than stick to such a basic reference as ............. " for this I`m gonna use green " or " for this I`m gonna use Brown ! , It would help a great deal if you could name what COLOUR green, or what colour Brown etc , I think it would benefit us greatly in getting used to choosing , of which colour type to get, as for example .... "for this I`m gonna use Burnt Umber or, for this I`m using Sap green." A small detail to a seasoned Artist probably , but a very informative and helpful bit of " help " to us early learners who have to decide what colour is probably more appropriate for the job in question . I realise to seasoned Artists this is such a minor detail but when you don`t know what colour would be probably the better choice to go straight to, it really would help us rather than random guesswork . Maybe there isn`t such a thing as the "Correct " colour , maybe it's a personal choice of the person doing it , I just don`t know .But I just feel this type of Colour naming would be a great help, if you would include it.

I appreciate your suggestion, and a few others have requested this in the past but up until a couple years ago, I still considered myself a beginner and never went by 'proper' color names. I do not have the name card so I cannot give proper color names. A green is a green. Many will disagree with me on this but this is how /I/ learned so I think it's the best way to learn (obviously I'm biased).

My girlfriend and I have done a couple of your tutorials together and you’re a wonderful teacher and relatable (and we love your voice), but going too far off topic makes it harder than it could be for us to learn the techniques and follow along. Please keep making these wonderful videos.

I think many do not understand how difficult this is. >I agree to eliminate the side stories, for me they are distracting, and you don’t need them. (You are NOT boring, silly girl*) This may not even be relevant, “Be your authentic self,” helps me during times of uncertainty. You are good at what you do. I get annoyed by my own complaining sometimes so I understand.

I enjoy learning about painting techniques, but all the extra personal details is very disappointing, unnecessary and boring to watch. I’m outta here!

So why bother making this comment? There are thousands and thousands of watercolor tutorials on KZread. Find the ones that suit your desires and then tell that person something positive. Julia doesn’t owe you anything special.

I enjoyed the fact she was real, a baby, life, tired, even distracted as we women are at times. She shared herself with us. Let’s celebrate it and not knock each other down. There is too much of that today. She will get better as time goes by. We all have off days.
