    wow, I had not idea drum hits were referred to as notes. Not that I know much about drumming. I create drum patterns for my own music, but it's strictly based on what I like, and what I know from listening to music. But I never understood hi hat patterns, so this is interesting.

    I really do love these videos, they help tremendously and it's great to have multiple views but there's one more I'd like to see, especially on this one, and that's a cam even angled with the hi hats themselves so I could watch the opening and closing and how far they're being opened and closed. Still, really great video and thank you for having these up to help people like me ;) :)

    Is there any technique to play ex 2 beat with good hihat foot technique coz if we play that beat for 2 3 min our left leg start to burn.

    But like how open is it? Fully no weight on the pedal? What if your hat cymbals are over an inch apart? Still fully open?

    do you always hit the high hat on open ? i thought i heard a high hat be hit on close then immediately open it without hitting it again, is this wrong?

    @ThexteraDrummer Try what "anonomousness" said, and play loosen, don't grab the sticks with too much grip.
