    In drum and bass you need to listen for the snare, but it's sort of the opposite in jungle, cause in jungle it's the snare that isn't hitting ever two beats, but the kick typically is. But DnB definatly has structure. You can always imagine a hi hat hitting on every beat. chi chi chi chi

    Hip Hop is the hardest to 'mix', I find Drum and Bass easy because it has more consistent percussive elements. Breaks are difficult when you have a groove and loose drums, hard to make it sound clean. But it's all fun!

    Connor Hunn it’s prolly the most expensive, takes longer to find tunes, then find tunes for sale. But, hands down! The best way to learn to DJ is old fashion phonographs made by Technics., All of their table’s are great! All other manufacturers have a misunderstanding in the pitch fader category.(i dont know why. JUST IS) GOOD LUCK! Prolly save loads of TIME, mostly energy. Mix with a MIDI controller. MP3’s are much easier to find. Also cheaper on the finances ;~)

    He probably made it sound more complex than it really is. All you have to do is count your 4 bars equivalent to 32 Beats total. 8 beats per bar. Count 1 through 8, 4 times to reach 32 Beats (4 bars) and then your pattern changes or it breaks into another 4 bars. Everyone counts differently, this is how I count. I was taught this at the very beginning. Everything else he does is just looping and programming digitally. Hope this helps.

    I'm an old school dj always mixed house, well hard house and hard trance. I've always had a love for dnb. But never mixed it. Just recently bought someone's record collection. (More fool them for selling) you're setting loops and that's not helping me on my turntables. I understand the fundamentals of mixing I've been mixing house for over a month 10 years but I'm fucked with dnb.

  • @jordanmeanes4464
    @jordanmeanes44647 жыл бұрын

    I always thought dnb was one of the easiest genres to mix. I'd say anything with live instruments or non 4/4 patterns is tricky such as funk, old soul or latin music.

  • @jordanmeanes4464

    @jordanmeanes4464

    7 жыл бұрын

    I've never heard a dnb track that's not 4/4 or electronic. The beats are 4/4 by default and whilst they might use samples of old tracks the beats are always quantized meaning it's electronic. Difficult music to mix would be with a live band plus also multi genre, so mixing a rock track into a motown track for example. Give it a try!
