I wish i could say "it gets better", but as someone who lost someone i thought i didn't care about and then suffered, yeah, it doesn't, i guess you just learn how to live with the pain, hope you're doing good, there are bad days and good days of memories.

I lost my friends to death.. A girl to suicide and a boy to. Heart attack..😔 they died 11 months apart.. Last Friday on December 15,2023 I found out she (my friend) died of suicide

I found this musical after losing my first grandfather and it clicked with me and after my second grandfather passed I dedicated this song to both of them not only for me but for my mom when I was performing on stage

This hits harder after losing both my parents. It's not fair they both loved life. It should've been me not them 😢

Universe is weird and unpredictable, i have a similar pain, it's hard and i feel sorry for your loss, but you were their creation, no parent deserves to bury their child, this is gonna sound rude and don't misunderstand me, i'm trying my best but maybe life knows who to give the pain, if the situation was reversed, who knows if your parents could've bear it, i hope you remain strong.

Someone suggested this fitted another character in a musical as sort of a joke. Listening to what the lyrics actually are, it actually kind of works. The main difference between Lydia and this character is that they lost their mom a long time ago and just never got over it. He saw his mother get bullied by his dad over and over, until she couldn't take it anymore and committed suicide, and he'll be damned if he lets the bullies take away anyone else he cares for. You get the feeling he projects his mom onto his girlfriend, like he couldn't save one, so he'll save the other. When the bullies go for his girlfriend, he cuts them off.
