The Third Concerto is the best of Beethoven's concertos. Its motto is a Japanese hokku: “How sad the world is! Even in the cherry blossom season, it's still sad.” That's exactly how Maya plays it. Only Gilels played it that way. And now Maya, you're brilliant!

Lovely performance all round. This has always been my favourite of the Beethoven Concertos, ever since I heard Emanuel Ax’s recording when I was a teenager. Agree with the comment about adverts breaking up the performance - why can’t they wait until there is a break between movements? 14:39

A very interesting approach to the concert, for me the orchestra is a little restrained, especially at the beginning, but when Maya starts to play, the sound becomes a very good complement for the Fazioli's sound, and the sensitive but thoughtful performance of the pianist. A nice surprise to me; best regards from Chilean Patagonia.

С другой стороны, Club Sun воспроизводит звук при легком нажатии клавиши. Вы создаете нежный тон клавиатуры. Это в точности звук клавесина. Кроме того, Фортепианный концерт Бетховена был посвящен принцу Луи Фердинанду Прусскому и отличается неповторимой элегантностью и изяществом. Майя, вы прекрасно уловили особенности этой работы и прекрасно ее выполнили. твое выступление лучшее.

good old Russian school and new beautiful face

Not a classical music expert here but, I can hear a bit of misalignment between piano and rest of orchestra. Piano wants to go slow and it’s obvious when it’s time for piano is soloing. On the other hand, when it’s time for the orchestra, they go faster pace..like x1.5 faster. It’s kinda painful to listen to it..piano is dragging everything, i don’t know where this miscommunication is happening.

It’s too much rubato for Beethoven. :) I agree. I don’t think it’s painful but it’s not the best interpretation when you’re playing so unlike the composer intended. 🤪 Still - better than I played it when I soloed with our local orchestra at 15 yrs of age after 2 years of piano lessons. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Beautifully rendered. Only, she is a bit too free with her accelerandi and rubati. It jars at times.

Music speaks itself in it's purity through the fingers of this young pianist. The orchestra not matching well the fluency of the soloist . Some disturbing beat disynchronisation. Not enough of joint rehearsing?

So many commercials ruin this video. Shame

Thumbs down as i listen to the beautiful music and every 2 minutes get SLAMMED and BLASTED with commercials about whatever....not worth wasting your time to try to watch and CONSTANTLY running to the screens to skip a commercial
