I live in Melbourne Australia and I run Russian Caucasian bees, they’re the gentlest bees out of Carniolan and Italians, very rarely they sting are not big on swarming as the queen does not build large brood patches like the other two APIS Mellifera.thanks Dasha, very nice video, very well presented

    When I was at school, from the age of 11-14 a beekeeping lesson was part of my biology class. My school had its own bees (there were 2-3 hives) and we used to kit-up in protective clothing (as in the video) and study and care for the bees. Nowadays, unfortunately, I don't think any schools in England keep bees (even then it was very rare) as it's considered too dangerous by those who create "health and safety" policies.... If a Queen bee left the hive and landed on a child, true, it would not be a good situation - as all the other bees would follow too... but I think children miss-out a lot these days by not experiencing nature for themselves - it's much better to see it for real than on TV or on KZread (unless, of course it's one of Dasha's videos)))

    @@RussianwithDasha I was lucky Dasha, I think very few schools offered bee-keeping as part of a science lesson, and fewer schools still actually had their own bees - I doubt any schools in England do this now. Also both schools I went to covered a vast area of land - with fields for athletics and other sports, and woodland too. Nowadays, with such a focus on money, many school fields in England have been sold to developers..... Sorry, it was quite a long email I sent you Dasha.

    I think it's all about a beekeeper's experience. I recorded everything by myself, but the bees were quite relaxed even when we collected honey. they stung the beekeeper, because he had no gloves. and yes, my cat Syomik was very brave to sit there. he was just sitting and meowing, although we didn't collect honey at that moment, the bees were peaceful

    Приветик, Даш! А что значит выражение «любишь медок, люби и холодок»?

  • @RussianwithDasha

    @RussianwithDasha

    3 жыл бұрын

    Привет. Я думаю, что у этой фразы есть 2 значения. Первое - это почти как у «Без труда не вытащишь и рыбку из пруда», «Хлеб даром не дается». Чтобы получить что-то хорошее, нужно для этого сначала поработать. Чтобы добыть мёд, пчеловоду нужно много трудиться, а также терпеть укусы пчёл - это и есть "холодок", то есть трудности, которые нужно преодолеть. Чтобы добиться того, что принесёт тебе счастье и радость, нужно нередко пройти через трудности, пережить неприятности. Второе значение, о котором я прочитала - это быть ответственным за свой выбор, за свои поступки. "Медок" в данном случае ассоциируют с алкогольным напитком (медовуха). Пьяного человека, чтобы он быстро протрезвел, выводят на холод или умывают холодной водой. Каждый поступок несёт за собой последствия. Какое значение вам нравится больше?
