@11:35 I'm not a mangaka, but I am trying to get into writing. I'm also a big fan of power-scaling, which is what Death Battle is doing here. When I think about how I want my stories to go, I do think about how strong I want my characters to be and how I can portray that to the reader. Not only because I enjoy the concept, but also to add consistency to the characters and the narrative. Will it always be perfect? No. Does everyone do it? Probably not. But that doesn't mean there isn't value in analyzing what the writers have put forth. Just my thoughts. Great reactions! Keep it up, you've got a lot of amazing insight to offer.

Alot of writers dont care about power scaling. Even a few creators have watched deathbattle and have said alot of feats they give characters go more on a rule of cool code then a power scaling code. Rule of cool is just to make something look cool to capture the audiences attention even if it realistically doesnt work and alot of times this gives them massive power feats like splitting clouds or breaking a stone wall by launching someone into it but later in the show they struggle to beat a normal guy in a arm wrestling match or lift a slightly heavy box. Like stan lee once said to a question of "who would win" he just said "who ever the writer wants to win"

@@gageunruh3574 I've never really liked that quote. It's the summation of a writing mentality I don't really like, as I find that it takes away from what has already been established. I will admit that, in one sense, the quote is undeniably true: the writer decides everything about the story, including who wins. But I think that authors who don't attempt to justify the outcomes of those fights, especially if they appear to contradict what has already been shown, are not putting enough care into their narratives. They've set up expectations and they should be careful how they handle them. They won't always be able to handle it perfectly, but I think it is something that should at least be attempted. Of course, this is mainly for stories that actually rely on fighting as a main focus. It becomes less important the less emphasis is given to it. As for Rule of Cool, that's a bit trickier. I'm not sure what you mean by realistic in this context (you can get away with almost anything in fiction, half the point is it doesn't have to follow the rules of our reality), but in general I don't mind authors giving their characters incredible feats that look or feel really awesome. In fact I usually quite like watching these feats occur. in I just would like them to keep it consistent later. Honestly, though, you can usually come to a pretty consistent view of how strong characters are anyway. As I said in my first post, I wasn't sure everyone did consider these things closely, and from what you've said it sounds like there are a lot that don't. I just wish they would. Again, though, this is just my opinion. Thanks for your response. edit: spelling

@@aquamarine42 a prime example of rule of cool is danny phantom. The creator himself watched the deathbattle of him and jake long and was asked if he knew how strong danny was in a power scaling sense. Like did he intend for THIS EPIC MEGA BLAST OF ENERGY to have this many tons of TNT? And butch said no I just thought it looked cool so they animated it.

@@gageunruh3574 I think I've heard that story before. I'm not trying to say I think Rule of Cool doesn't exist. I just don't really like it when it isn't backed up. I'm also not trying to say I expect writers to know exactly how powerful any given attack is. All I would really hope for is an attempt at some form of consistency. Intentionally or not, I think that comes across pretty often, so I'm usually pretty happy.

Is there a reason for the weird audio balancing? I love having my ears blown out randomly.

Oh, simple, it's my mic didn't capture the audio right, and I had to fix it in post editing. Just going to add a limiter and noise gate going forward to mitigate the louder parts.

Did you react to the Yang vs Tifa Death Battle? You should probably watch it before you start RWBY Chibi before you start volume 4.

the only mistake here is when they say the only weapon that could harm each other was the 8 balls....except the 8 balls basically does what all zans do.

Basically Aizen didn't know he was put into Genjutsu after Madara got injured badly he used Rewind time with his genjutsu

Rewind time isnt his mangekyo one really knows what it is, just ike Aizens bankai..... But, depending how you interpret Madara seeing trough hashiramas clone that one time, Madara could be terrifying for Aizen.

hard part about this fight as they said, aizen could be high balled but thats it while madara realistically should be way stronger than he was shown to be. we never got to see madara's true limit but thats more in the realm of possibility then Aizen's case.

I'd watch bleach reactions, and as you already planned to I'd say skip the filler, I watched all of it once but don't remember any of it being that good and have skipped it every rewatch which will save you probably close to 150 episodes. Plus by the time your caught up the new series covering the final arc will hopefully have finished at least it's second part if not fully

Death battle spitting bs again lmao Aizen killed the dangai train a being that controls time and space like a force of nature without any effort and this was before his many power ups. Aizen could’ve definitely destroyed all dimensions in his verse. Madara doesn’t have shit on aizen, aizen could 100% solo all the Naruto verse.
