Before this song came out in 1987, people thought the Bee Gees were finished. Then they put out this absolute classic. I think it's one of their best songs.

@elpistolero82 Absolutely correct. They were, unwittingly, starting to become a joke, a caricature of the disco days of the 70's. They played it extremely cool, worked the shadows, perfecting this song, and their wardrobe, a far cry from the medallions and tight jeans of the 70s. Only when they were happy with the finished product, they unleashed it on a still unsuspecting public. Number one EVERYWHERE. The Bee Gees had the last laugh. It showed to me just exactly how clever they really were. Unfortunately there is only Barry left now, but in their day, they were unmatchable. Legendary singles and albums, fantastic videos and clothes, amazing dance routines and absolutely incredible voices.

Barry, Robin, Maurice... wow it’s SO amazing you will always be my favorite band, and so so so sad I never had a chance to see you all play. Wow. Jealous at the people who actually were able to. Amazing songs in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s you are such an inspiration. And even though Maurice and Robin are gone they still inspire me as well , that much that I wrote a song about the Bee Gees and inspired by you three 🥺♥️ Love the music and will always tell people how amazing you were and Barry still is :-)

And what the hell do we have now? I can't see anybode of those so-wanted "superstars" perform for 10-20 years or more, like most of those from my list and STILL be that good. Bee Gees skradli mi serce wiele lat temu gdy byłam dzieckiem . Dziś nadal są w moim sercu i słucham ich nadal . Wspaniali , wielcy muzycy . Stworzyli muzykę ponadczasową . Zasługują na uznanie i szacunek . W moim sercu pozostaną na zawsze ❤❤❤

This is pure and wonderful. As are you, one who reads this message. The universe pulled your attention here to let you know that you are loved, and you are needed. Stay strong my friend.
I heard this on the radio when I was in the salon and didn't know it was the BeeGees...spent ages trying to find it as I couldn't figure out the lyrics...then me and my partner agonised over trying to figure the tune I was humming to him, so I had to backtrack over the style of voice, then it came to me just now that it was a slightly higher voice but still male, boom...had to be them, but I went over so many 80/90s style ballad singers to get there! Love this track and so glad I found it ❤❤❤
The Bee Gees ship had sailed a bit since the 70s and they were not as popular as they once were. This song came out in the late 80s to remind everyone who doubted them that they were here to stay. My favourite of all their songs. That’s saying something.

Barry Gibb is just so talented, handsome, and even looks better with his gorgeous locks in a ponytail!!! Maurice sure was a cutie also! Robin had his moments, and let's not forget Andy(Barry's years apart twin) such amazing and talented men!!! RIP Andy, Maurice and Robin!!
This isn't a song but an anthem
The part where Robin sings “oooooh” always makes me shiver
Cryed when the twins died. Barry on his own now, he looksso lonely all the time. Barry looks so hot with a pont tail

was a massive turning point in music... this, 'Alone' and 'For Whom the Bell tolls' great 80/90s songs...
I absolutely fuking love this song
This was apparently the Bee Gees reformulating their sound for the 80s, after disco had gone out of fashion. It shows that good writing and singing fits into any era.
1:54 "You better beware, I swear.." the lower tone in this line is absolutely brilliant
Amazing group/songwriters/singers. And Barry Gibb is *still* grounded, humble, and kind, even after a lifetime of success, hits, awards, etc. Amazing man. And RIP Robin and Maurice, you are still, and always, loved.
LOVE Barry Gibb with the pony tail. Such a handsome man. I'm 59 and never got to see them in concert before Maurice passed away. Got to enjoy all their music when it was new though. And my favorite Bee Gee, Robin, love that voice, ...so unique. RIP!! May Barry live a long and healthy life!!!

Barry looks handsome however he has his hair. I quite like him with short hair...🥰 🙂
No one can ever replace these legendary guys.
For whom the bell.tolls was probably the bands last big hits, they'd been off the scene for a few years and people had basically written them but they had overcome a big falling out over Maurice's drink problems and Barry and Robins differences... by 93 they had sorted everything out and came back with this belter of a song! I was delighted for them to silence all the doubters. Sadly Maurice's premature and death would put an end to the bee gees as we knew them. He was misdiagnosed and should still be alive unfortunately. But what a glorious return in 1993.
This is one of those songs that just keep playing in your head all day long. Pure perfection.

Nobody stops this body from taking you You better beware, I swear I'm gonna be there one day when you fall I could never let you cast aside The greatest love of all... Best part of the song! ❤
They were consistently great songwriters. No matter if anyone liked them when they were writing them. Every decade, they came up with songs that others dream of writing. That someone would wish was their one hit wonder. For me, they eclipse Lennon & McCartney. Just in sheer quality, consistency, and diversity.

비지스 당신들이 또 이겼어요!
All times best music .. There will never be a band like Beegees and queen with Freddie Mercury and the Beatles is also in the music culture ..there next Elvis Presley is also one of a kind and Michael Jackson
In the middle of the 80s the bee Gees banged out two of the decades greatest hits. “You win again” and Diana Ross’s chain reaction. I was about 3 years old when these tracks came out but they left an indelible mark on my young mind. Now as a composer and record producer myself, and 5 or so million records sold under my belt I can’t help but get emotional listening to their music which has been so important in my own development. The point i’m trying to make is, an incredible song is not just “an incredible song”. it’s not just a piece of art/ commerce that enriches the maker and entertains the consumer. To the psyche of the young mind It’s a potential DNA changing element, defining how future generations abstract their world. Thank you to the BeeGees for helping me abstract mine.

One of the best songs, AND best videos to match, from the '80s. Unlike others that seem dated, this one gets better and more relevant with time. Maybe the Bee Gees did get E.S.P. when they made this.
