Girl, this song was soooo much fun to dance to! Add in the huge, bottom lit dance floor , strobe lights and packed with people dancing and rocking out. Those were the days!!

Yeah, and the mist from the dry ice pumping out across the floor. Getting home at 6am with your head spinning, ears still ringing and your clothes smelling of smoke! Good times.

I love the fact that there actually are people today who understand and admit that in the past there was REAL talent. Real singing, real moves, really playing instruments, it's awesome that not everyone today is entertained by mindless b.s.

What I find fascinating is they wrote this stuff without “Saturday Night Fever” or Disco in mind. So basically the movie was made to songs🎼🕺🏾

The movie Saturday Night Fever changed popular culture. It was a massive hit and many of the songs in the movie were written by the Bee Gees. Another movie that followed shortly after was Flashdance. It also changed popular culture. Many songs from that movie were also massive hits. Flashdancd: What A Feeling, by Irene Cara which was the title song.

God bless ya, girl. These was the days. I was in like 7th grade when Saturday Night Fever came out. Everybody was dancing in the 70s and 80s. Even into the 90s, the club dance floors were always packed. Just goodtimes, good music

Stevie Wonder was next door at criteria studios in miami recording while they wrote and produced this. Barry acknowledges they took some stevie riffs and incorporated them in to the song -- not copying but feeling the influence of the artistic genius next door. The percussion and horns being obvious as you listen to songs in the key of life. The brothers were R&B fanatics.

One of the few disco records I liked, because the back-up musicians played their azzes off..the horns, keys, screaming guitar on the middle coda, congas, etc. Mix that with the Brother's Gibb voices and you got number 1 with a bullet..and it stayed there the whole summer. 5:30.Yeah, good summation--listened to today's top 100 Billboard hits..din't find anything even close to the individual quality of 70's stuff.
