1991 was messed up. Great music like this was ignored and it will never make sense. This wasn't the only casualty that year, but it should have been a massive hit.

VH-1 played the heck out of the video, but radio wouldn’t play the song

How was this not a hit? It's amazing.

This should've been a big hit. I feel like after the 70s The Bee Gees were overlooked because of all the other new artists that became big. It's sad because they really made some great music during this time.

Evan Bakerian 100 % agree, one, high civilization, and size isn't everything are criminally underrated, I actually prefer it to some of the more well known Bee Gees material.

I agree. The 87-97 material is very good and some of it is better then their more well known hits. In North America their 87-93 material was barely promoted as they were still thought of a Disco act which they never really were. Ordinary Lives is my favorite song of theirs

Evan Bakerian he never did age that much from those yrs he did get a little gray on the beard in 2002 they have an interview of him on paintball 7 months before he passed away he looked great you never would’ve thought anything was wrong with him

@@colestevens374 There really wasn't anything wrong with him. He and Robin were twins and suffered occasionally with a twisted bowel. That's what Maurice initially went into the hospital with, having severe stomach pain. Drs didn't catch it and he had a ruptured bowel overnight, suffered complications, went to surgery critically ill and had heart attack. Went into a coma and died. Everything happened within 3 days. Such a tragedy and shouldn't have happened. I've often wondered how the Drs and nurses who didn't pick up on the problems/treat him fast enough felt knowing their negligence destroyed the BeeGees. So sad for everyone.

Bee Gees understood and thought in terms of music better than any other group or artist in general....their artistic sensibility,versatility and overall literacy set them apart ,a cut above the rest as the greatest all time musicians....every note , every second in each of their songs is ....perfectly where it should be....Vision is after all having a clear idea in mind what is competently to be done ...and they simply did it....the ultimate proof being a legacy of incredible "musical clarity" :)

In my humble opinion, the songs in which Robin Gibb is the main vocalist were much more melodic and harmonious, not that I didn't like Barry, but really the songs in which Robin appears as the main lead seem to me to have more musicality. It's a pity that their great talent was underexploited...
