I have literally seen probably 50 reactors react to the song I’ve seen grown men get teary-eyed because their voices are just so unbelievably gorgeous. I’m obsessed with this group they wrote over 1000 songs and they were popular for almost 5 decades up until Maurice passed in 2003.

@D&D Reacts This song was recorded in a studio, now there were no mic enhancements, no auto tune but there were layers, Barry's voice was recorded a few times and layered into this final recording, people often think it's auto tune because that's what they know, but it isn't, just layer after layer of Barry's voice then the final recording sung by them adding in the layers, they very rarely ever needed more than 1 rake at a recording, they were brilliant

Barry didn't start using his falsetto until 1975. He was burned as a toddler by, he pulled a pot of boiling water on him, wasn't expected to live. He wouldn't talk until he was 3 after the twins were born. He is the only surviving brother out of 4.

That's a great point about children not always having the same reaction. As a child I didn't appreciate live performances because they weren't 100% exactly the same as the studio version. As an adult I find studio cuts stilted and prefer live performances. We all grow and change.

I heard Barry Gibb in an interview just a few years ago, that when writing "Too Much Heaven" & performing it, that no other song from their repertoire had experienced something more spiritual that he couldn't explain. But it was beautiful hearing him speak about song writing in general. He said, "I also look for beauty in my song writing." & true form was very humble about it.

Their little brother Andy Gibb was about 19 and starting his international solo career at the time Stayin Alive came out. He was soooo popular and gave his brothers hard competition on the R&B charts. I would love it if you and your daughter would react to his first solo and #1 I JUST WANT TO BE YOUR EVERYTHING.

@D&D Reacts You know what sadly, Barry Gibb the lead singer of the Bee Gees is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first in 1988. Maurice Gibb passed away in 2003 then his fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb passed away in 2012 leaving only Barry and his older sister Lesley Gibb. Check out younger brother Andy Gibb and a great song called ( Don't Throw It All Away ), released in 1978 for his Shadow Dancing Album. This song was co-written by his brother Barry Gibb & Blue Weaver and recorded by the Bee Gess in 1977. The brothers actually gave Andy the song for his 1978 album and later released their similar version of the song in 1979 for their greatest hits album

(A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Robin left behind his wife, Dwina and 4 children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. Andy left behind a daughter. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2023, he and his wife Linda will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78 January 12, 2023. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he almost died, and he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5Od3Nh6ksurqLw.htmlsi=eyCf1YX82i7bGaeL How Deep Is your Love? kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqSl08yOZ9ibicY.html Closer Than Close kzread.info/dash/bejne/n2qMq8ajdauygtY.html One kzread.info/dash/bejne/fYaJx6-gqrKpc9I.html You Win Again kzread.info/dash/bejne/fY6Nm9GSg7bQdqw.html Spirits (Having Flown) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gYKhuKeDntvfo8Y.html Bodyguard kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKxputmCe6bZY9I.html Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJOrtryjn5zHqs4.html (Destiny Child's was a cover. Nice harmony, but crazy video. Who pours bleach on someone's clothes?) Barry said he liked it. Can we say, "Royalties." At one time, 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them, for others, were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2! December 2023, Barry Gibb and 4 other entertainers, will be recognized for their contribution to the entertainment industry. Kennedy Center Honors. I'm sure this will be a very emotional time for Barry Gibb. As children, Robin liked to set fires. The constables - (police) asked his parents to move or their sons would be put in reform school. Barry was a ladies' man. He kept rings for different girls. Maurice was quiet. He liked photography.

Love the BeeGees. After school I used to light some incense, pull the drapes, put a red scarf over my lamp and kick back in my beanbag letting the rhythm flow through me. For the bearded singers with that rough, rugged yet beautiful voice, check out “Lady” by Kenny Rogers & “Feels So Right” by Alabama.

Friend, listening to the Bee Gees is a direct trip to paradise, at that time they were the biggest headache for men, women simply melted for them, this video was recorded live in 1 take without arrangements of any kind only the orchestra and a microphone for the 3, plus the rights were given away in perpetuity for UNICEF, something never done by any singer and it has raised more than 12 million dollars. The record labels wanted to sink them because the song they released was inevitably number 1, the harmonies. What these 3 brothers did was and will be unique, they were capable of harmonizing with any rhythm they made, they were and will forever be geniuses, in addition to all of the above, they wrote songs for other famous singers. Talking about the Bee Gees is talking about talent, simply unique at 43 years old. Since I heard them as a child until today I think they are the best male group that exists.

Love this song and video but not sure where you are getting your information that this was a live performance. This was their video of the studio recorded song which was heavily produced to arrive at this sound and definitely not in one take. I love the Bee Gees and they are very talented, including in their skill at production.

"How Deep is Your Love " is another great love ❤️ song of theirs. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. The youngest brother's name was Andy. He did some solo music and looked the most similar to Barry. Please check them all out. You don't have 6 consecutive number One hits at the same time for nothing! I am so glad that I grew up with this music. Like the lack of interruptions in your presentation. ❤ Thank you.

I would have never taken that as a racist comment, there's a lot of people that thought they were black before they saw them . They should take that as a compliment

And isn't it crazy when you see one family with so much talent? And yet, it is quite common. My maternal side is all very musically inclined. Of us 5 kids, 4 of us sing, play piano and guitar, all from hear, yet my one sister is absolutely tone deaf. My Dad, god rest his soul, used to tease her and beg her not to sing her kids to sleep! lol great little channel you have here. New sub from AB Canada.
